| Would anyone be willing to help?
So I have the Carnage Crew buggy all stripped down and my plan is to scotch bright the mill scale and surface rust off the entire chassis and than powder coat it clear to keep the bare metal look. 3 of us spent a few hours today to see how it'd look and it looks super bad ass but is kinda slow going with only a few people. So I'm wondering if I decide to do this and not sand blast it how many guys would be willing to come up here and help next Saturday? It's kinda tedious work and a pizza lunch isn't much pay but I think with more guys it could be knocked out in a day pretty easy.

| I know you said you'd come up, just tryin to see if we can get some more elbow greese to make it go faster. I do know I'll need to grab more pads, went through 10 in 3 hours today Those fancy plates and dzus tabs sure tear the pads up quick.

Head gasket shouldn't be to bad. He is way up north though, almost Fort Collins, right? |

The wife and the kids are gone that weekend. I'd be glad to help out for a day Jason.

Just a question but why wouldnt you media blast it? I would think some aluminum oxide would do the job pretty quickly.

Blasting it would take the stuff off fast but it turns it into a dull grey color. The scotch pads clean it off but don't dull the metal, almost polishes it really.

well im one day down... the only thing i got done today was i got the key made and thats it. shortly after the lock smith left, i decided to clean out the jeep. i had the rear hatch open and was cleaning out the back... well i turned and nailed my head on the hatch... next thing i knew i kinda woke up and was laying on the ground. apparently i knocked myself out... so i put my hand up to my head and sure enough, blood was dripping.... i probably should have gone to get stitches but i figured some peroxide and a butterfly bandage would hold the gash together. its doin alright now! lol but yeah, i am a day behind now!! but tomorrow i am gonna bust my ass to get it done! hopefully everything goes good!

Sounds about like my day. My back has been bugging me for the past month or so(had 2 herniated disks operated on 5 years ago). Woke up this morning to the worst pain I have had since my surgery and could not stand up or really walk. Almost called the spinal center but have been laid out on the floor most of the day icing my back and it seems better. I hope it is better so I can make it up this weekend. |
