there is a sportsmans interest thread in the rocas rojo thread under competitions.........post there and tell any sporty runners you know to post up there too. I think they will try to have one if there are at least 20 people interested. I don't know any details about cost or anything though.

I agree. For the guys that want to go post up what kind of rig you have and how bad do you want to tear it up. Spring Creek is a moderate trail and you can basically make it easy to somewhat tough, and it is close to town. There are a few other trails close to town, but they are more scenic. We could do a Redcone/Webster run if you guys something more scenic.

If it is like last year, we will start early in the morning and try to be back into town at the start of the meet and great dinner. This way everyone can meet with all the competitors. Would you rather run Spring Creek or Redcone/Webster?

I would rather run Redcone/Webster so more folks get a true taste of Colorado.

Broken parts, smashed in body panels, uummm Colorado

Just a thought, if there are enough people, we could plan 2 rides to choose from, one for scenic beauty and one for tearing our shit up. I would be glad to lead a group or help however. During Farmington the other month that's how they planned their runs and it worked out good.

Never been there, wouldn't know, I just assumed that's why some people weren't for it.

I beg to differ, spring creek can be pretty rough if you take the man lines.
I have seen the big orange Cherokee sitting on some rocks through there, and the Pathy got the hell beat out of it on that trail.

What about the Cherokee?

Had a buddy with a yota that got mangled on that trail as well.

Its a great trail close to town.

And the Pathfinder was not that bad.

I can't believe we are arguing that spring creek is a tough trail. It is far from tough.

I do agree with Patrick, Webster/Redcone defines more what Colorado is than Spring Creek.

I guess we could take a trip through Indy

Now your talking, that would be more of a rockcrawling trail, since this is a rockcrawling website and stuff. But I'm down w/ picking flowers, I've even been ready some home and gardening magazines so I know what to do w/ them when I get home. I'll stop by Bed, Bath and beyond and pick up some vases for us all. Just kidding don't flame me, and I'll help anyway I can.

INDY, but then us Spring-sters are bias to Indy. I'd give up my shotgun seat as long as I can get off work that Friday.
