Default Supporter Subscription Renew?

Isn't the subscription supposed to renew it self (be reoccurring)? Mine ran out today and didn't even know it. Had to re-up it manually. Also, is the system supposed to send out an email letting the member know their subscription is going to expire?

You should have received an email.

John and I don't have the auto renew feature setup, we don't feel that is an ethical way to do business.

When mine was up a while ago, I didn't get an email that I saw, unless spam filter got it.

Our system does send out emails, check your spam folder for it.

Just to point out....if you look under User CP, scroll to the bottom and look on the left there is a link entitled "paid subscriptions" and you can see when your membership started and when it will expire.

Mine was supposed to end on the 20th of this month and I noticed that it had run out last night. No biggie...I just PPed the fee whick was the best $20 that I spent last year. Thanks for a great site guys!

Uh, yeah I realize that...but when I don't expect it to run out (because I am not keeping a running tally on the days in my head), and it runs out without getting notice of said expiration...

Not a big deal...I was just asking the question because it says on the bottom of the order page for the subscriptions that those marked with asteriks are reoccuring. Since none of them are marked with asteriks as far as I can see, I figured they were not, but again I asked instead of assumed.
