Default New forum for trail rigs could be useful

If this is out of line let me know. I have seen several trail rigs beeing built recently. These trucks while not being true crawlers definatly have thier own purpose. Is it possible to have a thread just for the trail rigs? Being in NY there are no crawling comps. Also there are few ares to crawl on rocks. There are several areas that meet the definition of what a trail rig would be ideal for. I enjoy the build ups for these type of trucks. This is also the only board that has any information at all about them. The knowledge applied to crawlers generally also applies to the trail rigs so these types of trucks would make sence on the same board. Just my 2 cents, thanks for looking. I apologize for any spelling errors as I am not at my home PC and this one has no spell checker.

"This is also the only board that has any information at all about them."

That is completely false , Scale4x4rc has the most information about trail rigs on any forum I have ever visited. Go there , You might enjoy it !

But definatly , A forum for trail rigs would be awsome !

I was thinking the same thing about suggesting a seperate forum, but for Trial Trucks. But, I wonder if there is enough "demand" to warrent a seperate forum just for them. For the most part, trail rigs seem to fall under the category of scale builds, since they aren't built for maxx flex and whatnot, and usually run smaller tires and "stock" bodies. And Trial Trucks are by thier very nature scale in appearance to begin with. There are so many niches developing, some have to get grouped together or else you can end up with 20 seperate forums. But I still think it would be cool

Question How about?

After they do a trail rig forum they should start a daily driver forum too. After that they should split all builds by 2 door mild crawler, half crawler trail rig semi-pre runner forum.....See where this could go? It just opens the flood gate for everything. Then you'll have people naggin about what makes it a "trail-rig".................

Lightbulb Or!

There could be a forum for "Everything Else" builds, where all of the trail rigs, rock racers, trial rigs, and anything else, like sandrails, and drag cars. I know this is a crawler web site, but if there was an everything else build fourm the really cool builds that are put in chit chat wont get lost in all of the chit chat.

I dont see things lost in chit chat, there is a search button if you want to know about trials, basher, or sand dune rigs.

A trail rig section would be nice but this is RCCRAWLER .com. Yes this is a verry informative site for CRAWLERS hints the name. chit chat is the place where anything not crawler related needs to be posted. If u have a semi-trail rig then great i would post it in general crawlers. But if it isnt crawler related it dosent belong in any forum except chit chat. if u check in there every time you get on just look to see if there are any arrows next to the name of the post that means that there is a post in there u didnt read. If the forum name is white u havent red it and if a new post has been madde and was lost it wasnt worth looking at anyways (i stated all of these VERY obvious things just to make sure people understood). If u like the builds so much search trail rig and read away. Im sure it will keep you busy for a while.

Most "trail" rigs fall under the "scale" catorgory for the most part. Post them up in there.

I agree with 1BJB, 99% of trail trucks are in the scale forum. I also think an "Everything else" forum would be good too. You never know what could spark an idea for something. Watching "Weinerbreath806" build a Mini Cooper drag car could inspire "Tacosalad69" to do something totally crazy with his clod. And most of the time you aren't really watching chit chat for a sweet buildup.

Whether it's r/c CRAWLER or not, that doesn't automatically mean ROCK crawler. Trail crawling exists where we have this stuff called grass, brush and mud.

My grandparents ride horses on a trail. Consisting of, bushes and grass and some dirt....You know what they call it? Trail riding. Even the big rccrawler banner says your #1 rc crawling source. Nothing about rocks.

I guess we just assumed that you knew what we meant by "rccrawling".

I'll get Jason to change the logo to say "your #1 rc rock crawling, not dirt or bushes, or flat ground in which rambuller84's gammy rides her horse on source"
