Default Deleting threads??

My first and only suggestion is not deleting threads without AT LEAST asking someone to edit it first. A lot of people put a considerable amount of time into this and to just delete it automatically is a real a-hole thing to do! I started a thread about my new tuber/clod and then later mentioned that it was for sale. I would have GLADLY edited it or moved it to the for sale section! At least 80 people viewed it with very little feedback, but the feedback I got was very positive. If someone would've warned me then I would've gladly complied! It's actions like this that turn people off to forums like this one. Oh and to the guy that deleted it: Moderator or not, THANKS A LOT #!%$#&*%*#* < me cursing a bunch!

I guess next time you will learn to read the rules before posting.

I did PM you right when I deleted your thread. If you were a were not such a turd in your responce I might have restored your thread and spent the time editing/deleting the bad posts because you can't follow some very simple rules.

Next time I need to do my job around here, I will be sure to ask you if it is ok.

Yes. You've figured it out now! I'll let it slide this time, but next time won't be so easy... Always ask first....

And how is he different than this guy?

I asked Badger to take care of that thread due to problems with my computer. I could still restore it too but not after being reprimanded like that.

And please learn what the smiley guy means you two.

Why does the admin of this site have to ask YOU if it is ok to do something? Don't get it...

He did'nt have to ask me anything. All I asked was that he mention it to me and I would've taken care of it, instead of deleting the whole thing. I would've been more than happy to edit my posts and tell everyone not to reply about the for sale part of it. I could have started a new thread in the for sale section as well.

Not that I have to explain mine or any other mods job on this board to you, but we do alot of work on this forum. We put in late nights and all, making this forum the best there is for RC Crawling. When we have 100 different posts to edit/delete/approve or whatever(every single day), do you really think that we want to send 100 different PM's to those people? Take into consideration that we do have full time jobs/families and other commitments also. If people would actually take the time to read a few small rules/stickies at the top of the sections, etc., We would not have so many posts to mess with and would possibly be able to send you a PM asking if you would be so kind as to edit your post or let you know that it has been deleted( as badger did)

I actually don't have anything better to do. :-( I sit at home all day and watch soaps with a thumb up my butt, waiting and searching for 1 thread that I feel will have the most impact on the member who created it and BAM! I delete that sh!t.

I just thought it would've been easier all the way around, for me and for the admins to send me a quick and simple pm telling me to edit my post. Instead I recieved a pm AND he deleted the thread. Would it not have been a lot easier on both ends to only send me the pm telling me "hey, the for sale thing is a no-no"? I would've gladly cooperated, saving everyone the headache of actually bullsh*#ting about this crap.

But would have been easier to use that thing they call "common sense".
