Default Can we stop the search button scolding?

I've posted this before, and I dunno where it went and don't care, but something has to be said.

The search button on this site simply doesn't work. And its sad to see people get yelled at when they try to search something, but most of the important terms aren't legit.

You can't search LRP AI Runner without just getting Runner as result. Or Novak XRS, 2.2, TLT, TXT, all don't show up.

I don't mean this as a way of degrading the site, but can't you just change the search options. I know i've posted topics cause I couldn't find what I was looking for, but someone who knew the thread did.

Just a thought,

Torque

Use the "advanced search" option...
You can narrow your search down to specific:
  • Forums (TLT; Tire/Wheels; Electronics...)
  • user posted
  • by thread
  • or by post.
You could also try using a less frequent term, or a more specific term...

All search engines behave primarilly the same...
Either they show you every time the word was used. Or the word was used too often to show all the results...

It's not just this site.

I actually changed things up a bit a few weeks ago and you can now search items with just 3 letters.

The Bossman made things all better..

Now let the Search Button Scolding continue

If ya wanna know something bad enough and can't find it using the search..... Try reading through the posts in that section, as much as it sucks, atleast you'll find what your looking for.. without get bashed, scold, or flamed.. Have a nice day!

Sorry guys, you can delete this topic.

You'll see a few threads below i made a topic, but i was too stupid to figure out where it went after it was moved, i never saw this forum.

Really a stupid post, its the same as the one below.

Thanks Jason for doing that. You guys can lock/delete this. I really only meant it as a repost of the other topic because i couldn't find it.'

Again, my apologies.

You can delete threads you started, click the "Thread Tools" tab.

If you're still having troubles searching try using the asterix (*) around your search terms. Search for front dig like so..........*front dig*.
