Default Remote file uploads have been disabled.

I keep trying to upload a higher res version of my avatar from my photobucket account and I get that message. How is everyone else able to have gif's and such for their avatar? Am I just too computer dumb to figure it out?

You are allowed a 100X100 5K avatar, seems to be almost exactly what you have.

"The maximum size of your custom image is 150 by 150 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller)."

Mine is currently 100x100 though...

I didn't realize there was a difference for different stars. Makes sense. I can understand why such a small dimensional size (100X100) but why such a small content size (5kb)? It seems all the other forums I'm on have a 19.5kb limit for the same dimensional size. It makes for a very poor quality pic at anywhere near the 100X100 limit. Just wondering out loud.

Post up or give me a link to your original pic you want resized and I'll try and give you a decent quality file to use.

100x100 is big enough. Just pick up a Avatar sizer. I use this one and it works really good. http://www.jql.co.uk/avatarsizer.htm

Mines 99x100 and only 2.5kb, it looks bigger though.
