well it is true. if you look at other sites the allow you to have an avatar even with paying. or do you guys just do it so that there is another reason people will pay you?

My guess is that this site has a lot of traffic, and no sponsors. These forums arent free, Jason has to pay money out of his pocket to keep it running, and pictures take up a lot of bandwith, and bandwith costs money.

yea i know. i dont care if i have an avatar or not. i love this site. i probaby wouldnt have been able to build my crawler without it. if i had the money i would pay to help out, but im only 13

Yes to have an avatar you have to be a paying member. Sites like this use a ton of bandwidth, which isn't cheap. To help offset the costs to Badger and myself we have star memberships. You can get a membership for as little as $20. Spend more than 5 minutes on the site and tell me you didn't learn something that saved you $20, in building your crawler. We let anyone use the site for free, and give those that choose to help support it extra options. I guess we could get rid of the star system, and just make this place a popup hell, sound good? |

I have no way to accept a credit card, without going through paypal. However I can accept a check or a money order. PM for details.
