| HobbyTown Poker Run - June 13th, 2009 Results
I'll have results up in a sec. We had a tough course. It was deceiving. The first gate was alot of trouble for everyone (not intentional)! We were shooting for progressively harder and I think up untill gate 4 it was progressively easier! I'm not sure what to think of the poker run...it was different. I hope everyone had fun? Huge thanks to Drumbeater helping me judge all day, Saxtonslaughter keeping poker scores and mfawv, gunnar, randy, etc. Everyone pitched in and helped out. Thank you! |

And here's some pics of the winners. Man, I'm looking at these and really do not want to post them. Remind me next time to hire a hooters girl to hand these awards out instead of my fat butt. First Place - 51504Rock - Dustin 2nd Place - iphonewizz - John My eyes were closed on this one! Third Place - Anthony Fourth Place - Sococrawler - Randy (and me trying to suck it up) No 5th place pic - sorry whirlybird! Worst Hand - DBR - Doug Nice Trophy! (I actually thought this was the nicest!:-P) |

We'll that's all I got... Long day, but lots of fun for me. I was pretty happy with how I ran, especially given our company and a rig with no dig. (Hey I rhymed! :-P) I enjoyed the BS'ing at the tables when it was all over more than anything else. We should have build parties at the course. I hope everyone comes back for future events. Next big one is CVRC - July 11th! |

It was a fun time. Unfortunately, the course turned out alittle tougher than I planned. I should have moved a few rocks around, but it did make for some excitement. The tougher line through the double gate looked like the easier one, eh? I'm going to be doing some work on the rocks to try to make a tough lane, and an easier lane all through the total course, this will make for easier crawling, AND tougher comp lines, whichever you choose.

Man, I thought that first gate would be so easy, too. I was wrong. I take all the blame for that one.

First comp: check First trophy: check First time with Losi CCR: check First gate eating my rig and blowing up my motor in my brand new never run Losi Comp Crawler Racer and allowing me to get the lowest hand of poker and showing everyone how much of a newb that I am: quadruple check I had a blast guys and thanks for all the tips advice and camaraderie. You are a great group of guys and I can't wait to do this again (with a new motor setup that won't crash and burn my truck and me.) |

Bryan you should have seen our first comp with CVRC. We had double that many people! It was cool. Mindy - we got a set of these at the store, they sure would look nice on your rig! Especially that one at the bottom right above this - #8. |
