Default 2008 event is on.

Guys, The 2008 Scale Nationals will be the largest scale r/c event in the USA in 2008. I will post a registration link, rules thread and flyer for the event with details very shortly. Stay tuned, you aren't gonna want to miss this one.

there will be several classes,

1.9 scale
2.2 scale
2.2 comp
2.2 axial spec class

maybe a 1/6 scale class too.

read the first post from last years thread, this is a MEET, not comp, if you are a scale junkie, you will have more fun than you can ever imagine.

ask anyone who was there last year.

there WILL be a long haul award, and you will need to drive to earn it.

Default I will be there

I will be there. This will be my first comp but I am looking forward to it. I am still working on my rig. I know I have posted other places my plan on going. So wasn't sure if should post up here as well. I am sure there will be other spot for me to sign up.
I also know that Createacrawler is going as well since we will be driving together. I don't know if he is planning on competing I beleave he is but can't speak for him.

Yes there are courses set up, yes there are people keeping score, but the atmosphere is not like a competition. One of the events last year WAS just a bunch of rigs lining up, following a leader, and having fun.

This a very laid back event with a big emphasis on grown men having fun playing with their toy trucks.

I will be there again this year. I already have my room reserved. I don't know how many people from or club will be going yet but from the talk there is quite a few.
