here is the one i just made. got rid of all the electronics. only saved the motor and the gears.
from a tmaxx starter box with a 2 way switch with a push button to make it run.

How much line or cable is on everybodies winches? Just curious, I haven't got a drum on mine yet.

I had about about 2.5 feet last year and it was pretty minimal. Combined with a tow strap it was enough but I'd like to get about 4 ft for this year.

hey 1bjb if you have a dx3.0 than you can have a winch it does not have a 3 pos switch BUT it does have trim settings. allowing you to have different speeds but you have to be careful when you do it.

Most of mine have 8-10 feet of 30-lb test Spider Wire. And I carry a treble hook or land anchor, plus tow straps, on the vehicle. I'm ready

Well I sold a free ride frame and picked up a dx3r from Corey at RPP Hobby and mounted up a hitec 645 winch servo that comes out through the Juggsterr winch

Only thing I am worried about is my hook...its one of the ones from wedico and they are kind of soft...but I cant find a scaler looking one that will look good and work... Im just going to bring 2 extras with me.
