I have one and would like to crawl with you, but I do not want to drive to Sac only to crawl my worst crawler.

If you can get some of the other classes of crawlers going, then I am down.

I agree with Mike, we should have another sac town comp.

I'm up for another comp in Sac / Folsom!

Just need plenty of lead time so I can set up travel plans, etc.

My brother and I recently bought Nylint 1/6th scale crawlers
and I have my unlimited class crawler I'd bring too.

Although, based on last time's turnout, we may need to run two courses
at the same time, unless everyone installs rock lites!

Hey are you guys going to modify yours similar to what Axeman did? Or are you going to keep it stock?

I would like to see a Nylint only class but am not sure if it should be for modifieds or stockers. I would prefer modifieds just because of how well Axeman did at the last comp.

Sean - As far as a Sac comp, 1st we need a location with pics, then we can pick a date that works for everyone.

Badger,

I really doubt my brother will modify his at all.

AXEMAN's was killer both in looks and performance.

After reading probably the entire 1/6th forum,
the only mods I did was:
Enlarge the vent holes in the rims,
Paint the crawler,
And remove the bumper, hub caps, side rails, one seat, skids
and the battery cover.

I decieded not to relocate the shocks,
If done incorrectly, they could come apart.
If done correctly your tires could hit the body halting progress.
However you could trim the body or do like AXEMAN'S.
I like to keep it somewhat stock and I think it flexes fine.

A tummy tuck would be cool, but I'm afraid pf hanging up hard on the axles.
Not to mention your raising the center of gravity.

AXEMAN'S steering mods will most likely get done sometime.

Tighter belts, will also.

A recent wheelbase mod topic with pics was cool. but I may only do it for the front,
need to look at my rig some first.

Basically, I already have my Unlimited Class Crawler and it's the main focus.
I bought the Nylint just to chase my brother around with and compete also.
Leaving it mostly stock will greatly increase my driving ablity also, good training
for when it's time to run the Unlimited.
Plus I really like the scale aspect, kind-of like running a 2.2, but bigger.

In my opinion,
I think the Nylint class should remain pretty much stock.
When I say "pretty much" I mean that I wouldn't have any problems competing
against AXEMAN'S Nylint, now anything beyond that, under the judge's decision,
may get put into the Unlimited Class.

Nylints to me are like NASCAR, almost all identical.
It's a great class for those who don't have a grand to dump into a 2.2 or Unlimited.

Another Folsom comp, with Nylint, 2.2 and Unlimited Class's could turn out to be huge!

Good points Hoss.

When I bought my Nylint I said I wasn't going to do any crazy mods that would cost money. And I would like to keep it that way because as you said, we have Unlimited crawlers that cost enough to modify and maintain. I'll probably end up doing a few mods to make it more durable but that's it. But it will be really hard not to keep cutting and trimming after seeing Axeman's in action. That bastard ruined the stock Nylint class!

Right now I have 5 or 6 crawler and two more on the way. So one less to modify and spend $$ on is fine with me.

I didn't realize I had so many until I cleaned my garage and put all the RC's on shelfs.

Here is a pic of what I brought to the Folsom comp. I just shipped out my TXT so I am down a crawler. My other crawlers not seen in this pic are: Mounty, TLT tuber (building), electric Revo (building), and the last one is the bruiser chassis I just bought from you that will soon be a scale Unimog. I also have a Tamiya F-150 for a CC class that the Gay Area never developed.

So I currently have 5 running crawlers and three projects.

Here is a updated pic of my 1/6th Nylint

I don't have pics of anything else.

I bought it new at my LHS, it's simply amazing the things you can find there.

I don't have any video's of it, she is very shy.

We will have to deal with event permits and insurance if we go to Folsom again.
