We will be running 2.2 on Saturday. We will fallow USRCCA rules. Drivers meeting at 8:00am (Central time) sharp! Every driver needs to be ready to run the course when it is there time!! We will not wait for you. We will run 4 courses in a free crawl format. Each course will be a 5 min. time limit. Each courses will contain 7 gates. Each gate with a max score of 20, 40 max on the course. Scoring will be as fallows. Each state can have as many competitors as they would like. If a state has less than the needed 5 drivers, they will be given a "wild card" driver. These will be made up of drivers that come to compete without the support of others from there same state. These "wild cards" will be considered "wild cards" if there is only 1-2 drivers from there state. To be considered a competition state, the state will need to have at least 3 competitors. If, for any reason, a state ends up competing with less than five drivers, the HIGHEST score for that state will be counted enough times to fill the 5 score limit. "Wild cards" will be place in other states by a random drawing done by a member of the competing state. We will take up to the top 5 scores from each state. Then, we will take the average from the top 5 to determine which state will win the "Crawler Cup"! For the finals, the top driver in the top 5 states will run a winner take all finals course. Only one driver per competing state will be allowed in the finals. The driver with the lowest score on the finals course will be the Southern Cup Champion!! The "Crawler Cup" will go to the person with the lowest score from the winning state!! The deal is, they have to put it back up for grabs again next year!! Tech

Tech on friday night is free and you get to look around. If you want to crawl or practice on the rocks then you will have to pay $10 for it. This is one of the rules for us using this place. Also we will do tech on saturday morning for the guys coming up in the morning. But you must have your truck done with tech before 9am so the comp is not held up. "thumbsup"

Benzbuildr 06-17-2009 11:15 AM

It's a nice place, kinda slick though."thumbsup"

Yes, I will be doing a updated drivers list on my first post. I will also be adding sponsor info and hotel/camping info there as well.

But, just to give you a heads up. NC is in the lead with the most people signed up!!

Axial and Red Rocks are both $75 per class!

The entry fees were more than my plane ticket for the Colorado Comp:evil:

Benzbuildr 06-18-2009 08:44 AM

I will not compete but I will probably be there."thumbsup"

can't miss the fun:mrgreen:

Pdog7 06-18-2009 11:23 AM

I don't know about $50 bucks to play with trucks in the middle of a recession. May be more than I'm willing to pay. And what is this no cooler $hi#. They're charging us $10 bucks to get in and I have to pay them for water:flipoff: Now that being said this is a cool venue and great people, just venting I guess.

Benzbuildr 06-18-2009 12:33 PM

You can't bring a COOLER?http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_10.gif

Screw that idea.

Well I just re-read the first post of this thread and couldn't find the comment about no coolers. I'm sure I saw that, maybe that was changed. It just says no alcoholic beverages or pets. Now I'm a little happier not having to pay for beverages. Maybe I'm just too cheap....$1000+ for a crawler and I'm bitching about $50.00:? Is it just me? Is this a common price for a big event? I guess I'll suck it up and pay the entry fee....don't want to think about sitting at home and missing all the fun."thumbsup"

$50 isnt bad for a big comp. You got to pay if you want to play.

Dont forget about you new Losi Comp Crawler and your new Mini Rockshow "thumbsup""thumbsup"

sddill 06-18-2009 03:45 PM

$50.00 is cheap considering the pay out on this one...Really it is only $40 the other $10 is for use of the venue "thumbsup""thumbsup" Plus they already said there will be other prizes so if it is like other big comps you almost always walk away with more than it cost to run "thumbsup"

Great point!! If you look at other major comps, some of them cost $75 to enter. Plus, if anything, they only pay the winner. Here, we are paying out to the top 5 in each state!! So, you don't have the be nationals champ to win money or prizes!!! So, with that being said, we feel that $40 is not to much to ask...

Also, I deleted the coolers deal. Started thinking about it. They wont kick all of us out if we brought coolers. Heck, I don't care. I would however respect the fact that they do not allow alcohol there. Save that for after!

Oh, I will try to put a updated drivers list up. There is still plenty of places open. So far, NC is in the lead with the most signed up!! Next would be TN. Don't wait around and miss your chance for your group or club to miss out on this great comp!!!

$50 is cheap for a Major event, but its appropriate to be on the low side since it the 1st one. Typically as the event gets bigger so does the price.

On the 1st ECC I lost money, and I made sure that didn't happen again this year.
