It's not unlimited. Only change is 4ws will ge allowed. Still needs to be 12.5" WB & 70% body for non-tube frames. There's a link in the first post for the rules. |

Hey , small state ya? (and they were 42's ) I'm very new to this and building a Maxx based crawler. I also bought a used crawler built by a guy here on the BB. It's a custom built TXT with Maxx axles, GD600, SR, Blah, blah, blah . I'm doing some changes to it to suit my needs (300oz servos/4WS, longer shocks, new diffs , mod the frame a little more, new link ends, add more vert seperation in the links ,,,,,,,). I'll most likely miss this event but maybe the next one. |

I use the left stick for throttle, that's channels 3 & 4 on the radio. To do this I use a GWS V-tail mixer: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...p?&I=LXHHS4&P=7 Plug both ESCs into the mixer, then plug the mixer into channels 3 & 4 on the radio. Only one ESC needs to be turned on for both to function. Program the ESCs one at a time by moving the throttle stick up and down. Then plug both into the Mixer. I called Airtronics and got the parts so that the throttle would self-center as well. With this setup you can move the throttle forward and both axles will be driven forward, move it back and both axles are driven in reverse. The fun comes in when you start moving the throttle gimbal left or right as you move it forward or backward. That's when you can bias power intentionally to one axle or the other to accomplish digs as shown in the most recent GR video. For steering I run both servos on the right stick. Up and down steers the rear (up to the right, down to the left), left and right steers the front (right steers right, left steers left). If I want the truck to move to the right I just move the stick to the top right corner....moving it to the bottom left makes the truck move left. Top left makes a tight left turn, bottom right makes a tight right turn. Hope this helps. | |

Im slowly looking for a new build up. Im just not sure which way I want to go with this one. I still got my clod, but I need to rebuild the chassis. My last big project was a shafty with mad force axles, I got pics of it some where on this site. Im thinking along the lines of a maxx based one this time. After my wedding Ill have more time and money to pursue it better. Plus Im still debating on which of my current cars and trucks I want to dump on ebay. If anyone is interested I have 2 tc3's, emaxx, rc18t and the clod that Im thinking about dumping, all the cars are fully hopped up, carbon fiber and aluminum with brushless set ups, except the clod. Anyway yeah when I get going again Ill defiantly hit you guys up.
