CKYC Christmas Crawl @ Big Eds

A $5 entry fee will be required for all non-members for this comp. This isn't to make money for the club or anything, just a perk of being a club member. I will talk to Homer about getting a small trophy or plaque made since it's the last comp of the year.

Ed's place is an awesome setup, ask any of the others who have run there before. Let's make this a good Christmas comp!

DIRECTIONS

Address is 277 Butler Ridge Rd, Beattyville, KY 41311
For those traveling from Central Ky, you will take the Mountain Pkwy to Exit 33, (Slade Exit) at the end of the ramp turn right onto Hwy 11 toward Beattyville (thru Natural Bridge Park). Follow HWY 11 approximately 25 miles into Beattyville. As you enter Beattyville, cross R/R tracks and proceed straight until the 2nd red light. At that light turn left onto HWY 52 East toward Jackson. Go 4.2 miles east on HWY52 to the junction of 2016. Sue's Pantry (country store) will be on the corner. Follow 2016 for 1.5 miles to Butler Ridge Road (4th paved road on left). Turn left onto Butler Ridge Rd. Travel .3 miles to the 3rd house on the left. Clay colored vinyl siding, maroon shutters, large barn behind house.

For those traveling from London/Corbin, Follow Hwy 30 to Hwy 11 south, Take Hwy 11 south toward Beattyville. As you come into Beattyville stay straight at the 1st stop light you come to. Hwy 11 turns left and staying straight will have you on HWY 52 East. Go 4.2 miles to the Junction of 2016. Turn left on 2016, follow 2016 1.5 miles to Butler Ridge Rd. Turn Left on Butler Ridge Rd. Go .3 miles or to the 3rd house on the left.

You can park beside the barn, or you can drive up the drive and down through the field to the comp site. If it's wet or muddy, you may be better off parking beside barn and walking down to the comp site. From the barn to the comp site is approximate 250 ft.

I can't wait to play host again and for us to log another great comp. We're hauling in more rocks, and going to try to get some good stuff for the scalers too. Thanks for posting up Bentley.
