NCVRCC Magalia Comp.....February 6th 2010

We are going to hit up MAGALIA for NCVRCC comp #10..........February 6th 2010


NCVRCC will run a Sportsman class as well as a Ranger class for the first time.......so if you want to bring your young'n he/she can run your truck on his/her own courses.
(Sportsman will run the 1st 5 gates of the Pro courses)(Rangers will run 3 separate courses of 5 gates)

Sportsman class rules say no DIG no MOA. The sportsman class will be scored separately and therefor will not count toward points series results.
So any series members in the hunt for points have to run the Pro class to get em.

The Ranger class will be free to enter and will be run mostly by parents and volunteers. The rangers will compete as a group moving from one course to the next that way they can learn from each other as well as cheer each other on.... (NO DIG.....MOA OK)

We are also going to run 4 2.2 courses for the 1st time (1.9 mini and Ranger will still run 3 courses)

Times:
Tech begins.....@ 8:30am (at the top of the hill) 2010 USRCCA rules apply
Drivers meeting @ 9:00am (we'll go over stuff)
Courses open....@ end of drivers meeting. (time to work)

Entry Fee:
Non-members.........................$10
RECON or NCVRCC members......$5
Series members......................$0
Timers/judges/Rangers.............$0

Classes:
2.2 Pro
2.2 Sportsman
2.2 Rangers
1.9 Mini

New 2010 USRCCA rules apply:
Open running order.
No 20 point rule.
10 gate, 6 minute courses (Pro/Sportsman/mini)
5 gate, 3 minute courses (Ranger)
-2 progress points.
Repairs handled on the course, on the clock.
Touch, Out of bounds, Repairs, all go back to last gate cleared.
Ties will be broken by:(course 3, then 2, then 1, then time (Nationals format))
Lunch break at 12:00 all courses shut down for 30 min.
Judges will have Pizza and water/soda provided.

Andy,Question on the Ranger class,dig,no dig? What is the difference between Sportsman,other than the amount of gates?
Do you have any pics of the area,not familiar with it,what type of terrain?

Thinking about bringin one of my boys,and trying to figure out where to place him.Having a beginner running a shafty against an MOA rig That seems kinda off???

Yeah but its just to get em excited about crawling not really be an uber competetive class. It's set up in a way that a kid can crawl dads (or moms) rig and not nessesarily have to build there own rig to compete.

Besides my shafty can kick MOA ash sometimes Its all about the driver baby.......
