There are enough places to go, so i think one event each month could happen as soon as this weather clears up.

We haven't drawn up the schedule as of yet (as is obviously clear). As BLK6.0HD pointed out, we should be having one event per month with more than the 3 events like we had last year. We will be enforcing the rules more this year (such as rear steer, wheelbase, body, penalty points, etc.), so if you have some requests for rule changes from the established RCCrawler rules, we need to open up the topics before we start. Hopefully we can open up a quick forum on the Nor-Cal site (or here) so we can discuss those specific rules we want to ammend for the Nor-Cal series. I will talk with Badger about that.

I think it is fair to say we should aim for a February start time on this.

-Sam

P.S. Jason, are you still burning up the 55Ts or just want more torque?

Other than allowing rear steer in the 2.2 class, i would keep everything else the same.

ixna on the rear steer, if enough people want to use it maybe some handicap points for those without. I tihnk march maybe a better starting time. The weather is usually better.

Ok, for now, here are the tentative dates for the 2006 season. These were just pulled straight off the calendar at an ~4 week interval. The date is set to Sunday so that you have 1 weekend day to work on your rig the day before the event. This was just a thought I had to make sure everyone has time to get ready. Let me know what you think:

Tentative Schedule:
Event #1 - Sunday, Feb - 26th
Event #2 - Sunday, Mar - 26th
Event #3 - Sunday, Apr - 23rd
Event #4 - Sunday, May - 28th
Event #5 - Sunday, Jun - 25th
Event #6 - Sunday, Jul - 23rd

Please list down your suggested locations for the events that you would like the event to be held at and then we can vote for the available spots. New spots would be preferred if possible, but they must be accessible legally (no *****y whiney rich folk calling the cops on us), must be within reasonable distance to cars so that the lazys don't have to walk too far, and of course plenty of parking.

Rules:
Current RCC rules can be found here: http://www.rccrawler.com/rules.pdf
Rules will be enforced this year to a stricter degree. If you are too long or not running a body (or panels on your tuber), then you will probably get denied. Granted we are a fairly laxed group, but the point is to try and build within the rules.

Rules that I can think of for voting upon:
Tire size (ie. 2.2 class - will we allow the larger Imex All-T Tires)
Wheelbase
4ws
Body percentage
Penalty points that were in conflict last year (truck wiggling counting as reverse point?)
(any others?)

I only have those few in my head, but please post up what you are concerned with so everyone has time to build properly. Rule changes will be closed lets say 2 weeks before the event? Sound fair? So that would be February 12th as the deadline for any rule changes/additions/removal. A poll will be created to discuss and vote upon rule changes.

Let's have fun this season. I know that the competition will be tough as ever.

-Sam

Sounds good. I'l probly not be able to make the first few Sunday events do to my soccer season. If we get eliminated from the cup I should be able to make some of them. Our season runs usualy into June. Last year it ran into August.

If we are going to closely watch body rules The only guidlines I'd like to see is for the tubers. Mabey set an min width and lenght of the chassis. I'm probly opening a can of worms.

I think it might be better to leave the day open (Sat or Sun) until 1 month before the event so that we can determine which day works better for the majority of folks.

For instance we would have a tentative schedule like:

Event #1 - Sat/Sun, Feb - 25th/26th (TBD by this Friday)
Event #2 - Sat/Sun, Mar - 26th/27th (TBD before Feb 26th)
Event #3 - Sat/Sun, Apr - 23rd/24th (TBD before Mar 26th)
Event #4 - Sat/Sun, May - 28th/29th (TBD before Apr 23rd)
Event #5 - Sat/Sun, Jun - 25th/26th (TBD before May 28th)
Event #6 - Sat/Sun, Jul - 23rd/24th (TBD before Jun 25th)

The reason I suggest this is so we can get the best turn out for each event.

What do you guys think, is this to much work?

ALSO, let's NOT discuss rules in this thread. I will add a forum to the Nor-Cal site so we can discuss rules there.

I can make any Saturday, Sundays I work so, it's good Badger that you have both days up to see which is the better option.

Can't wait to start this season!

I will have to look at the Boat scedual to see any conflicks.... But ya love to see it going again.
I like the idea of rear steer with one small penatly for use with in a given space. I do not have it on my RBX but the tiuber does and that is for 2.2 only. Extream should be OK to have.
