Carnival Comp 2!

Comp Format and Details -

Challenge #1 - BlindFold Course

Each teamate will drive the course blindfolded. Your spotter will talk & direct you through the course and be your eyes! Normal USRCCA Rules will apply. Both scores will count.

Challenge #2 - Shared Transmitter

Your team will pick one rig/transmitter to use & drive. One teamate will work the steering, the other teamate will work the throttle. Either can operate Dig. You will navigate the course together working as a team. Normal USRCCA Rules will apply.

Challenge #3 - Teathered Rigs

This one is especially crazy! A 24 inch teather will be attached to each teamates truck REAR axle. One driver will drive forward and the other driver will drive in reverse. And that role may even switch as you navigate through the course.

I have created a teather that you will be able to attach to the rear axle very easily by a simple zip tie. You will be able to attach it to an upper link mount or a chassis spreader or even a rear body post with no issue. The teather will not count as an extension of the rig. You'll be judged just like normal trucks in that sense.

The rules will be a variation of standard USRCCA rules. The changes will be -

Reverses will be FREE and will not count.

Rollovers and Repositions may come into play. Penalties will count as normal and you will have to operate those penalties with the same ruleset. Rollovers will be counted and judged individually. Reposition/Touches will be handled collectively. For example - If at any point you are forced to "untangle" by hand that will be called a reposition/touch and be just one 10 penalty. Again, due to the nature of the competition. Repositions may be to the safest location determined by judge and not necesarrily the last gate progressed.

Lastly, PROGRESS! Each rig will earn a -2 progress for each gate. So a potential for -4 pts per gate is possible if you both make it through clean.

However a slight twist...only one progress/one rig is needed to earn "progress" to continue on the course. So if you get into serious trouble, get one guy through and you can keep things moving along.

This will be a timed course (longer than normal) and standard 40pt Point Out Limit.

In summary you are working as a team to earn one score.

Just a clarifcation on the entry rules, does it have to be a yearbook photo only? Will a photo from the same time (14-18 yrs old) be ok? Just not sure if I can even FIND my yearbook

Yes, we will take stone carvings as a submission.

The yearbook thing is just for fun. A picture from your teens will be fine. Thought we could all get a good laugh at seeing each other.
