| cANZ - Australia - Rd 2 - 20 Feb 2011 Greetings Drivers, Welcome to the 2011 NSW Half Tennis balls of Doom series. The next comp is 20 February 2011. The location has been selected with a long overdue return to "Sopping Wet" Voodoo Rocks. This time around the Rain Gods will be appeased with the sacrifice of a red and black Losi on the day Your organisers for this comp: The crAwLL BLACK I will set up Sportsman and PRO course, and will accept any help from volunteers. But we will need the assistance of one of the many capable Scalers out there to set up the Scale courses for the day. This round also marks the first trial run of the Weekend Warrior Scale Class. Check this thread for more details: http://www.crawlanz.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=1210 Please ensure you get there early for this comp. For the new season cANZ is doing things a bit different. There will be random scrutineering at some events, and also the running order is by random draw for every event this season. We aim to hold the drivers briefing and running order draw at 8:45am and have the first courses underway at 9am. Address: Sir Joseph Banks Drive Kurnell At the end of Sir JB Drive there is a small one lane road on the right. Take this road all the way to the little carpark at the end (marked with red arrow) and you can't miss the rocks (circled). Cheers, Mike. |

Hey competitors! What a fantastic day! We had a great turnout today and it was awesome to see a bunch of new faces. A big thanks to all that travelled from afar today - Travis, Kurt, Reece and anyone else from out of town. The weather was fabulous today, maybe a bit hot for us Kiwi's....but thankfully a bunch of us took some shelters for shade. With so many competitors today it was great to see so many people put their hand up to help out with everything. We finished just before 2pm and ran 3 courses in both Sportsman and PRO with between 6 - 8 gates each. Plus a couple of Comp Scale and WW courses as well. As already mentioned, thanks to Rino for doing a good stint at marshalling/scoring and also to Maurice, Nec and all the others that took a turn on the scoresheets. Just a quick mention to please always record the finish time (even if the driver DNF's) and make sure you mark off the last gate progress. The Sportsman and PRO course were a tad on the brutal side today, but hopefully everyone still had some fun and took away some driving experience and ideas on what tweaks their rigs may need. A big thanks to Nec for getting there early today and setting up all the Sportsman courses for us. I'll own up to setting up all the PRO courses which many of us found quite challenging today. Nectar must have taken exception to my comments about sacrificing his Losi...as he had a blinder today in Sportsman and well and truely whipped me. Shame about his efforts in PRO :birdie: Stop ya yabbering Kiwi, show us the results already... I have also updated the 2011 Series points >HERE< Cheers, Mike. |
