Remember this spot. Mr. Park Ranger wanted to charge us $25 for having an organized group event in the park. Just don't tell them that it's a competition.

Might be able to get away with not contacting them if no one parks on the road right by the comp spot. That is a wicked busy road anyways.

50/50 on attending. Depends on the fire danger that weekend.

I'm ready. Just got my fire duty shift covered.

What the heck are you wrenching on?
Are you like a top fuel dragster racing team?
You do a full tear-down/rebuild after every run?

Swapping out a servo because the 8711 got the wiggles, cleaning and lubing 300s, check for bad bearings, inspect gears and clean out motor if needed. I had a bad rear tube bearing recently and you would have thought that something was wrong with my motor. The last comp was a nasty one.

yes I do most of this before every comp

that and I like to do a once over the night before.

Pre-runner! You can park right by the comp spot on a small pull off but we got in trouble fork parking there last time. You can just go down to the parking lot and walk back to the comp spot.

yes...DONT PARK BESIDE THE ROAD.
grab a parking spot inside the parking area, and walk over or under the bridge to the rocks.
