Vehicle Requirement Basics:
WATERPROOFING YOUR RIG IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
4 wheel drive, 1 straight axle front or back
1.9 wheels only - ALL custom made scale tires are ok provided they are no taller than 5" uncompressed. MUST FIT 1.9 WHEELS.
Keep it Scale
12.5" max Wheelbase
2 wheel steering
Must run same turn motor all day (Ie. tech w/27T/gearing must run 27t ALL DAY.)
Brushed motors only
No spur/pinion or axle gear changes allowed.
No Dig
NO short course trucks
Winch - I can say you will need it FOR SURE I would make something like a pull pal as well
Battery must be on chassis not the axle, 12vdc rated maximum voltage (must keep same cell battery all day. ie: Tech in with 2s must run 2s all day)
Tube Chassis must have trans, battery and all elec hidden from sight (sides/top etc)
Must run same wheels and tires all day
Must run the same vehicle all day
We would like to see you keep your truck technically "the same" all day. No gearing/electronics swapping allowed. The main idea is for everyone to show up with their truck and run it AS IS all day and see if it truly is THE TOUGHEST TRUCK.

Repairs:
On course repairs will not be allowed this year. Break on course = DNF for that course
OFF course repair is allowed. After your repair is done, you move to next course.
If you can't repair your rig you will get a DNF for any and all courses not finished.
Recovery tools must be carried on rig and then placed back on rig after each use. ie. pullpal, tow strap.

Judging:
Time score system:
Out of bounds = +1 min
Rollover = +5 min. If you can winch yourself over no time penalties
Flag Gate markers = +2 min
Winching = 0 min. NO winching to your foot, hands or other rigs.
Reversing = 0 min
DNF = Equals full time alloted for course plus any penaties incurred on course

SCALE ITEMS:
If you have 10 scale items or more you will get 5 minutes deducted from your overall time.
These items will be checked at tech in and must be in rig all day.
Scale points awarded as follows:
Hardbody = 5 points
Full interior = 3 points
Frame mounted servo = 3 points
Individual scale items = 1 point

MISC.
Recovery tools must be carried on rig and then placed back on rig after each use. ie. pullpal, tow strap.

****** not that we want to...but...keep in mind rules could possibly be modified/changed etc. prior to event...in the UNLIKELY event that rules are modified/changed etc, WCRCC will give AMPLE notice to ensure vehicle revisions may be made.

Man that sure would be fun but my rig breaks almost every rule laid out. Maybe when there is a Super Modified class I'll join in.

This event looks like a blast, can anybody come and participate (as long as the truck meets the specs) or is this only for West Coast RC Crawlers members?

Just a couple of stupid question
Rules state: "Winch - I can say you will need it FOR SURE I would make something like a pull pal as well"
But is it mandatory? Or is a tow strap like used in G6 events OK?

Its not mandatory to RUN in the event however there may be spots where your rig gets stuck and you will need the use of a winch to get it out UNLESS you take a touch penalty and use your hand to get it out.

todays TTC 3 was an awesome event honestly if you were not there you really should kick your self in the nuts for not showing up or maybe you were to scured to show up and have Slowroller hand you your ass. Joe stayed calm and cool all day as he usually is and just had a great day. he took home top score on 2 courses and won a couple of prizes just for that, then to win the big grand prize and take home that sweet mug, the awesome can not find never made anymore hand made aluminum Toyota Hilux body with some custom "TTC3 CHAMP" license plates, oh and guess what at the last minute the club decided to throw in a $100 cashola. now after reading that you really should get a kick in the nuts. a huge thanks to all the vendors that helped us to be able to hand out some really cool swag. its great to have that support at the club level and be able to put many happy smiles on everyones face, all you had to do was show up, sign up and drive and everybody got a raffle ticket to win something cool from this great pile of cool scale goodness. it was great to see some new faces and just like history seems to follow a new guy showed up coming all the way from Ventura and with $40 in raffle tickets he took home a brand new rtr Axial wraith, dang new guys congrats Barry "Fluxberkman". some of the Temecula crew showed up to have a great time along with Cpt Nemo driving up from San Diego. we had a hardluck award and the recipient of this was very deserving i think he broke on almost every course, motor problems, winch line breaking, you name it and he had it today. but would go back fix his rig and come right back out to run on the next course, never bitching or complaining about it which really makes Dave Budd "Zoso" very deserving of this years award congrat's Dave. big thanks to Matt "Tapped Out" and his wife Kim for hosting the event at there house, cooking the hot dogs, maintaining the courses all day and Kim was inputting scores as they came in, way to go a very fun event with alot of great people thanks everybody you guys and then we got LaBoy who shows up with his sister helping and his dad hanging out in the car and this kid films all day capturing tons of footage to put together more of his insanely cool videos, let me tell you that saying you, your pops and sis rock is a huge understatement

Thanks for having us up there today. Thanks to Tappedout for hosting, I really had a blast, you guys really did a top notch job on everything from an awesome course, raffle and lunch which was really great. Big dude should enter a chili cookoff

You're right your sponsors really put out some super prizes.

I have to say when I saw that course and all that water I thought there's no way I'm gonna make the Tank Trap, or the mud bog but there was a lot more traction than i would have thought.

Thanks again for a great day of TTC!!!
