Exclamation Warcrc Winter Season Schedule

SECOND SATURDAY OF THE MONTH ????????????

This would not interfere with:

Pro football
Military drill schedules
Oregon comps ( they are generally on Sundays)
Misses all holidays
Idaho comps ??????

That puts the dates at :

Nov 18,2006 ???????????????
Dec 9,2006
Jan 13,2007
Feb 10,2007
Mar 10,2007
Apr 14,2007

I understand that these dates may not work for everyone ,but it does give everyone advance notice to plan ahead.

We could use a polling system to pick the locations for each date a couple weeks before the event (Majority vote being the decider ?)

Post up any thoughts, concerns, comments.

in the western WA. area so far.

We have had comps at Des Moines Beach Park and off of I 90 on Tinkham Road just east of North Bend WA.

Those dates will probably be just fine for me. It would be nice if we had the locations nailed down as well.

As it looks right now I work on the dates for Nov, Jan, Feb, and March. One week before or after those dates would work for me. But if they work for everyone else don't change just for me.

Setting the dates is always hard...my dad works every other weekend (in Arizona) so he has to leave early at every other comp and dnf the last course. The thing to remember is that if you set the dates when you start the season more people will have a chance to make life work around the dates. Really that is the best you can do (much better than doing it on the fly and accomadating those with more influance, speaking from experiance).

The second sat. idea looks valid and I have not heard from anyone else with a proposal(a complete set of dates to look at), so if you have a alternative proposal post it up and we can set up the poll to vote the dates in.

I don't see why we can't shift it at this point, it's the whole point of planning ahead!

Maybe a chat session is in order with all those who want to help decide?

A good portion of the group was at the last comp...no decision.
A good number of senior members were at the oregon comp Sun and talked about this...no decision. The reason is simple, you will never meet everyones schedual it is not humanly possible so without a vote online it will not happen(unless you want a presedent to decide these things for you).

I would push for a poll online personally, that way everyone has a chance to be heard.

A poll would be the best way. Although I don't have any issues with the dates listed above.

There is no way we can make a schedule work for everybody, so a poll would be a good idea, and nailing down the dates soon would be good too, so people have a chance to reorganize their schedules if they can.
Way to take the initiative Devlin. I don't have a better plan than yours.

Lets give it a few more days for people to respond then we can post a poll if needed. Of course unless somebody puts out some other dates there will be no poll neccesary ,Just so every one knows those dates were not picked around my schedule . I simply used the second Saturday for all the reasons stated and it is easy to remember, I also will have a conflict with a day or two.

We did have conversations about how many to throw out, and I believe 2 thrown leaving 4 towards the season gives every one a good chance of being able to use a full season in the standings if that makes sense.

Should we start with a "do you prefer Sat or Sun poll?" Then we can do the dates?

Just a thought.

So far the only date I have a conflict with is Nov 18th.

Other than that the other dates look fine.

A poll doesn't matter to me.
Didn't we discuss that we would be able to throw a couple of comps if we were not able to make them? You know as an example. Having six comps but only counting 4. This would allow some peeps to choose which to no show but not be docked. Am I making sense here or am I too high on halloween candy.

You are right on it mike, hold 6 ,throw 2, keep 4. This gives us all the best shot at evenly weighted season
