Default ETRC Fun Comp July

ETRC Fun Comp...

The season is over... points are done... lets play with our trucks and have some fun!

Date: July 26
Place: OCOEE
Time: 8:00 AM set up / 9:00 AM start
Cost: Free

Classes: Read Carefully

Unlimited - Any Current Pro or Shafty Comp Rig is OK. BUT ... There will be No limitations on wheel base length, width, tire size, wheel size, number of servos, types of axles. If you want to bring a 14" long 2.2 pro rig, or a pro rig with rear steer... go for it. An old Super... go for it. A pro rig with super tires... go for it, a tube chassis with MOA Axles.... do it. The only limitation is that it must fit through a 16 inch wide gate. Get creative and have some fun. These trucks will be run on the same course as 2.2 pro. Scores will be kept on the same sheet, but separate from the pro trucks.

2.2 Pro - The usual, but on the same courses as the Un-limited trucks. You can run both classes if you want to. Just let at least one other person run the course between your two trucks. Scores will be kept on the same sheet, but separate from the Unlimited trucks.

2.2 Shafty Class - The usual

Trail Class - The Long scale course and 3 more fun scale gated courses.

So the set up should be about the same and the day won't really be much longer since the Pros and Unlimiteds will run the same courses. Should add some extra fun though. Kind of a hassle free mini super deal.

Post here to let us know your interest and what trucks you are bringing.

2.2pro

Unlimited sounds fun but I doubt castle will get my esc back to me in time. I might stick a brushed motor in it and run anyway though.

OK... so my first attempt at an unlimited was going to have super wheels and tires on a 2.2 chassis and axles. Couldn't find any quick enough, so what I have is...

a 13.5" long XR 10.
12" wide up front
11.5" wide out back
The widest 2.2 tires I had on some plate wheels.

I got the width by flipping the plate wheels and putting the VP hub on the face. Now they are Deep Dish looking.

Besides that... it's just regular old pro truck.

Next time I hope to have it even longer, with bigger tires.

I'm a newbie to rc crawling (I crawl a real jeep though). I have a losi comp. Not sure what class that is but I'm gonna be there to learn something.

A Losi Comp Crawler would be considered a pro class truck since it is capable of dig, but you could deactivate the dig and run in the 2.2s class. Either class you choose to run, we would be glad to help coach you along.

Getting there as early as possible tomorrow will be a good idea to make sure you get a parking spot. I just checked the weather and the water release schedule: sunny, 90 degrees, ZERO percent chance of rain, and they're releasing the water from 9 til 7. We all know the crowd those conditions attract.
