Default Phoenix Area Rock Crawlers Comp #16 Dec 10th

It sounds like Jim may have found a great spot at Papago for this Comp.
I know some of us have checked it out. I 'm off this Sunday, and I plan on checking it out then.
Maybe some of you would like to have a GTG there this Sunday. Is anyone interested in doing that?
Lets plan ahead and have a great #16 Comp. The Place and Time needs to be decided by all of us.
Rick

I like 9:00am myself.

Jim can you post up some directions and a map, and make it donuts and coffee.

Brian posted a nice map of the spot in the last comp thread.

Brian (RockWerks) got it well depicted in his image. For those who like some textual directions:

Take 202 Red Mountain freeway from east or west.

Exit Scottsdale Rd.

North on Scottsdale Rd 1/2 mile or so to Curry.

West on Curry 1/2 mile or so to College.

South 50 meters to parking lot.

Rocks are to the south beyond the Dog Park fencing.

Thank you for your attention.

PS. If you show up in a Mini Cooper S - JCW Edition, black w/white roof, please leave your keys under the seat, driver door unlocked, and notify me of this when you get up to the rocks.

I know that area well, used to live just up the road from there. Should be some good challenges there. If I am lucky, I will have our TLT done by then and see you guys there.

OT Humor:
Hopefully it won't be covered in snow, it was 32 degrees here between AJ and Mesa this morning.

It's part of Papago Park, I'm not sure if it's Tempe or Phoenix.

Yea...it's part of the Papago Buttes complex, but the mountains didn't bother to check city boundries when they formed back in the 70's, so that particular slice falls under the control of Tempe Parks, while the areas on the other side of the canal are Phoenix Parks....it's all politics these days....
