| ARCC Geocache G6 May 9th 1st ARCC club G6 of 2015 "Geocache G6" Location in Hot springs behind orvpark silica pit rd Look for flagging tape/sign. Geocaching /ˈdʒiːoʊˌkęʃɪŋ/ is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", anywhere in the world. A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook (with a pen or pencil). The geocacher enters the date they found it and signs it with their established code name. After signing the log, the cache must be placed back exactly where the person found it. Larger containers such as plastic storage containers (Tupperware or similar) or ammunition boxes can also contain items for trading, usually toys or trinkets of little financial value, although sometimes they are sentimental. Geocaching shares many aspects with benchmarking, trigpointing, orienteering, treasure-hunting, letterboxing, and waymarking. https://www.geocaching.com/play Directions.. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/34.5...34.5514249!3e0 WATCH for GREEN flagging tape marking the Gated rd to turn on. The road leading in to the quarry is gravel. Last 100yrds or so is the roughest. Shouldnt be an issue unless you have a lowrider. I'll try to smooth it out this wknd as best as i can. There is a small flat parking spot before it gets a lil rough. You can park and hitch a ride up to staging area or walk it. $10 entry fee 6 geocache's will be hidden.. 10-20 gates to complete per cache location. 3-4hr time limit Find all 6 caches Complete all drivers challenges and make it back to Finish line before time runs out!
