How much snow is up in that neck of the woods? I would be willing to drive up there Friday and move snow (assuming there is not 2 feet still) so the sun can work on Saturday Last edited by slugzracing; 12-30-2006 at 02:31 PM. |

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the park got drifted up pretty good, my other house is right up the street from that place and every time it snowed the drainage area we use would get filled up pretty bad. It is a pretty good low area for the wind to blow all kinds of krap into, thats why there is always a bunch of leaves and trash collecting in the bottom. If you guys want to go clear out the whole thing be my guest. Just watch out for the "hole of death" it's ALOT bigger than last time and if it's covered in snow someone could break a leg or ankle if they stepped in that sumbiatch! I built a set of chains today so if we were alowed to run em I'm down! |

Not only that, but it's a drainage ditch, I'll bet even if you clear the snow out of it, it'll be flowing pretty well from all the flow above.

True, I forgot about that. That thing will be flowing like a river if the temp hits 50.

what about a different location? i know we have already held a comp at the school, but it seems the snow melts and dry up pretty quick....maybe a place like that that has lots of rock exposed to sun.

Good idea! If we get some people out to scout for a dry spot we might be able to run em! |

I noticed the first storm last week, the redrocks there in morrison melted off really fast. I think I may go out there and shovel a little and see what the sun does with it after a few days. After just 2 days of just the sun, the rocks were mostly melted off but I would have still had to shovel. We were going to test out our secret weapon but ended up just drivin around cuz everything was deep and goin home and snow bashin. I donno, sounds like the park is gonna be a bust. I don't care where, just let me know and I will remove snow. It would be cool if some snow was left and part of a course! | |

Is Palmer Park an option? The snow melts pretty quick there. I don't if the snow is any less in springs than Denver.

The dam out here should be melted by next weekend. There are already spots that have melted through.

I was in Springs on new years. It did not seem like they got as much snow as we did in Pueblo. It was late in the day so I didn't get a chance to go to Palmer Park and check it out. Dirk if you have time maybe you could let us know if your turf is clear enough for a comp........
