Just thinking the caves might offer some protection from winter winds.

I don't care where we go. Winter is striking again. The caves might be the best option for timly starts and what not. |

Im cool with the caves ive heard some pretty cool stories about them. anyone have a morton building? we could setup some cool stuff in one of those and be protected from all the elements.

hmm, my uncle has a whole farm with a few morton buildings, I am sure it wouldnt be an issue, but telling that many people how to get there would be a huge mess, its about an hour and a half south of cedar rapids near Marshalltown... And then at that point what would you use for terrain? I mean there are plenty of dekalb seed corn sacks but that would get old.. My vote was for the caves, havent been there yet and it seems like a neat place. ps: When is winter striking? |

I might have to drive up there and check on the crawling. We have a lot of snow that doesn't want to melt.

If our club wasn't holding a meeting on the 4th, I would have been up for going to this comp too. I just purchased a set of rock sliders for my toyota truck from a guy thats not to far out from the caves. He won't be shipping them until the first of next month, I was considering driving down there to have them installed and hit up another comp. But our meeting is that weekend.

Resschedule the meeting, You know you would rather go to a comp than a meeting.

Well I asked about pushing it back a week and one of our members said he will be going to the apple valley farms RPM offroad event the following weekend. I forgot about this event, and was considering going my self. I'll probably wait till spring time before I hit up another of your comps, its not often that I find another excuse for driving down that way :-P
