MNRCRC 2007 Spring Series Standings

It was decided at our club meeting in February that we would track our Spring Series points by both offered options and decide half way through the series whcih we would use the remainder of the series. If needed, we will vote again in between the spring and fall series.

Here are the current standings in both versions, sided by side so you can see the differences. I have also included what your score would be minus your current worst score (-worst score). It was decided at our meeting that either way, we would waive each competitors worst score for the final points. There are some differences there also. But the question at this time is do you prefer score by actual points, or based on the 100 point system.

I'm glad we tracked both versions so we could see the differences between the two. After being able to see each, I really believe the actual points is the more fair, and acurate version. You can still overcome a decent size deficit quickly... for example Lee went from 7th to 3rd in one comp. It's also easier to compute, and less confusing.

Plus, you don't have nearly as many ties.

The only thing I don't like with the actual score, is that I need to actually work to hold my 1st place position, I could slack off more if we had points over actual score

But at the same time, thats also why I really like going with actual score, you really have to work to earn you place.
