Slow down there Fast...this was a BIG comp. Gonna take some time. Was a great turn out. Mike and I lost you scalers at the end? We stayed until 6ish and split. Mike broke some thing on the FJ and it is either the motor shaft or the tranny? Something wobbles and makes tons (more.. ) noise then it did all day. Ran the comp trucks till tired. Got another project going now. I ran Mike's Gopher and I am sold on kicking the pants off the rest of you dig setup fools. Orders are being placed. Pics in the morning from me. Thanks again!!

I got my Dig R2 today, going to install that this week in the gohper.

I'll work on getting pics up tonight, I have a lot of scaler pictures, along with some scaler vid I will have to work on later this week... I hate editing video.

We went exploring. We found a sweet little scaler spot on the north side of the bridge. Awesome little creek to follow leading to the river. And a couple bays in the river where the water was still enough to crawl through. We'll have to go over there after the next comp. Hope you're waterproof.

Ended up popping the front bearing out on the RR2 brushless motor in the FJ40. Gonna make a spacer to put behind the pinion to prevent this from happening again, I thought I bent the shaft on it!

Two bearings out in one day from different guys? Im locktighting every bearing from now on, or selling motors with retaining clips!

On the Fj40 my RR2 popped out the front bearing, and the front servo started making gear crunching sounds...

On the Jugg my rear steer was acting up, and my battery packs were sliding out of the new JP knuckles, while one side fell out completely... Gonna have to tape the battery packs on, the zip ties will not hold them down.

On the Gopher, I broke the front lexan link mount... Actually this is the second front one I have broke on it, going to make a aluminum mount for up front as well. This time it ended up with a sweet spider crack around one of the screws And I popped the rear drive shaft.

So all around everything had some light carnage for the day. The FJ40 is easy fix, I just need to put it back together now. The jugg, I just need to tape the batteries down.... And figure out whats going on with the rear steer? The Gopher, making a new link mount is simple enough. And its holding just fine. And I have to cut new drive shafts for the R2 with dig tranny.

Default My pics...

Here are some of the shots I got yesterday. I had a blast. The tunout was awesome. Glad to see all. I got some new tricks to try, thanks Mike. I just ordered my Crawlmaster/Mamba Maxx combo, so look out biatches! My Gopher is gonna be SET-UP! Oh, took the Digler YJ out for a cruise. Hey Digler, did you EVER make a turn with this thing? Some steering updates are needed. This is a very photogenic truck though! Perfect for a poser like me.

Nice fancy paint job here. Looking Good.

This is Mnster's scaler in the works. WOW, this body is SWAeeeet! Really good Job on this.

On your knuckles, try some thin rubber strips in the recces (I'm using some designed to apply to small electronic devices like a cell phone, picked them up at Radio Shack for under 3 bucks) on the knuckles.

The smooth finish on the knuckles and the cells doesn't have much in the way of adhesion. I also use a Velcro strap that I got from Kevin at The Crawler Store.

Good luck!

I'll give that a shot, thanks Dez It was a little frustrating having one of the packs fall out, but I didn't have time to test run it before hand. I do love how low the CG is with the new knuckles
