Thanks Brian !! I really have gotten used to the DX6.

It was a light showing today in the 2.2s, but the crawling was still quit challenging.

1st Azvader 10/-3/-1=4
2nd Cars69 32/-4/-5=23
3rd KDubb 87/-1/-2=84

Rick had some nasty glitching on 3,4, and 5 gates on the first course, once he fixed it he was awesome !! KDubb really turned it on after that rough start, good job !!

Thanks for posting the scores Jay & Mike. This was a poor showing for PARC today.
I know why Bk wasn't there. I hope you are healing ok from your misshalf at work Brian.
I hope we can reach some of the others and get them to our next comp.
I know things like work and family come first.
I did have a glitching issue with the 2.2 today. I did find the problem.
It had to do with the end point on the dig servo. I was happy with the
R2d on the 2.2 and on the Super the new rooster crawler esc had a great drag brake.
I had a good time today. I think after seeing the score Ken received on the
first stage for a DNF we need to talk about the Nat. rule of 40 points max.
per stage. The way we are scoring a DNF if you get one you may as well
pack up and go home for the day. Lets think about this one and talk about
it. We need to make this fun for all of us.
For all of you that are headed to the Nats GOOD LUCK - kick some BUT!!
I'm headed to Tx. in the morning.
Rick

Cool pap comp

hey guys you got to remember the heat some peop0le can't handle it to good.the injury is doing great because a lot of ice and down time i'll be back to work tomorrow because of it.Yea seven guys sure was a short roster.hey rick on the points thing,if you go to the 40 points he is out and can't finish the course, the way we score it allows the person to finish the course. Either way its a challenge to compete besides that it is always going to be a controversey

PS excellent win mike i'll talk to you later

Not when you time out, your done. I just think a score that high on
one stage is discouraging to any of us, and way more to someone
new. 40 points max for each stage seem fair for everyone. In todays
comp Kevin would have finished 3rd with 37 as a total score. The way
we score he had 83. I look at the other clubs scores on this board
and never see score as insane as ours. We should get more inline
with everyone. I know as a newcomer to Rc Crawling if I finished
in 3rd place and was 17 points out of second I would feel a lot
better than 46 points out. The placing stays the same. The scores
are not as wacked. Maybe the newcomers would take more intrest
and stay with it if we go with the 40 point rule. Just a thought

Rick

Way better!!

Just need to work on the foams so i can hold a line, 1" forward to 3" sideways makes for some really wide turns in downhilling .. Well then there's that whole driving thing..

But i'm happy for now...

I appreciate everyone looking out for the new guy. I appreciate it. Each time out I learn more and more. I am glad to come out and compete and not real worried about the points just yet. I am still learning about trucks. If a max point makes the club better, I am all for it. I appreciate all of your support and teachings. See ya at the next one.
Kevin.

hey rick what happens first, point out or time out, that is why we went to the system we have now. It takes longer to time out than to point out OK!!! Because when you point out you might only be at the 2nd or 3rd gate you are done

Rick knows that perfectly well Brian. With Kevin taking time off from running the club and an agreement (PARC) to run the USRCCA rules, now would be a ideal time to addopt what IMHO is a 'new crawler' freandly rule structure. The adjustment to course construction should also be made...such that the 'course dificulty' becomes progressivly harder throughout the stage, and from the first stage to the final stage as well.

Thanks for your consideration on this matter as I am painfully aware that it has been a considerable length of time since I last competed with PARC.

All the best.

Chad-

I try to make hard courses but nobody likes it when I lay them out

I know the feeling!

That is exactly why the first gate should be technical but anyone could get it. The second gate harder or more technical and the last two gates the crazy fun ones that get everyones hearts pumping and the cheering at the end when some one clears it clean or in the most extreme cases when someone clears it at all.

Part of the problem with building courses that difficult is you scare away newbs many times, I have had that problem here in NAZ.

You totally misunderstud my point...I am saying the oposite brian. I hear accounts of first gates being to hard all the time(PARC) . Instead if you are looking to have new people get moslty through every course you start doable (i say technical and doable in my post) and get harder as the stage progresses.

You can look through the WARCRC scores and see what a nice spread looks like. I supervised the course set up at the Lucia event (5 of the 6 stages at least) with the help of one other person on each stage. They were all doable but technical and you should see a spread from very low to very high in a nice bell curve(if I remeber correctly).

We are not scaring anyone away with this setup our club grows every month...and they keep comming back for more.lol

Chad-

In this case Kevin almost timed out on the second gate. He had to hit a gate to
move to the third gate where he timed out. If you remember we had this scoring
setup before we started to time each stage. I'm trying to look for areas to improve.
I think everyone should have an open mind, and try to build our group up in numbers.
I saw something that we do here that made a new person look worse than he was.
Look at the scores he had in his other stages.
I think the National rule makes the best since for everyone now that we time
the stages.
Chad had a good point on setting up the courses. In a lot of Comps our
first gates are the hardest ones. We need to look at that too.

Rick
