Nice Job!

This truck is going to be a blast.

 We don't have many large smooth rocks around here. Most of the local stuff is smaller and sharp. I will try to put a vid up tonight that shows what I am talking about.

Any chance of lower geared (wound) motors that wont require 2 packs???

goldmember 06-25-2008 08:39 AM

Now to decide between this or a WK Conversion.

Looks great with the lowered body!!! Tower Hobbies flyer came last week and they are listed in there with pics!!!! EDIT: Love the Bronco/Datsun-esque body!

good esc for the dtx artr?

what's a good esc for the dtx artr other than the stock, can the tekin fxR
work in this rig with the 2 stock 380 motors?

I was wondering the same thing. I have a Mamba 25 with seperate BEC. I'm hoping it will work with a dual 380 setup.

njrockcrawler 06-28-2008 01:02 PM

this may help, might need external bec, not sure. need to chek if can run with 2 380 motors and 2 servos, need to find spec on both stock components.

for your questions on the electronics I would hit up John Holmes (Holmes Hobbies) he can pretty well answer any electronic question you have. As for the Mamba 25, its good but I dont think it will do 2 motors, thats allot of amp draw for something with no cooling.

JohnRobHolmes 06-29-2008 09:40 AM

A mamba 25 in brushed mode, sidewinder micro (mini?), Mamba micro pro, or FXR would all work just fine in the duratrax.

I got to " handle " one this weekend. I will have to say that DuraTrax has hit the mark with this one. The faux carbon fiber is trick.

I brought one up to the RCP/Pro Line West Coast Challenge. Should be some pics from that thread shortly.

I was waiting for one of these but I guess I'll just buy more stuff for my AX10

I wouldnt trust the tower website for your release info, Tower still has the slash as not shipping yet but mine is sitting behind me. Support your LHS, they will get it before Tower.

Unfortunately, my LHS has almost nothing in stock and the closest hobby shop worth anything is an hour drive.
