Default Duratrax bearings & steel gears issue

I bought set of Duratrax bearings and complete set of metal gears.
But when I tried to replace gears and bearings I realized that Idler & Counter gears together with DTX bearings didn't fit back into axle.

The problem is bearings are wider than bushings. I don't want to shave the gears so I will use bushings there. Does anybody has the same issue ?

I'd expect the original parts to fit without problems.

When and where did you purchase the bearing set? The bearing company put the wrong bearings in (they were too wide like you mention.) As soon as we found out we had it fixed.
Let me know.
Thanks
J

Bought at TowerHobbies (1/15/2009), but took some time to reach me here in EU.

A good friend of mine warned me of this...it's the sole reason I didn't purchase a bearing set for my CC. I'll have to give him a heads-up that there's a fix.

Has anybody figured out the bearing size problem? I got mine today and they are to big, I thought by now they would have fixed the problem. I got mine from RC Planet. Any advice? I would like to run bearings, that would be the point of ordering a bearing kit. :-(

I emailed Duratrax about the bearing issue and they emailed back saying that they know about the problem, but do not have a fix for the problem yet. They are not sure when they will. Sounds to me like they don't care. It can't be that hard to figure out a solution, they need smaller bearings.:-(
