Default Just bought one, got a few questions and more to come....

First off i was wondering about the electronics, does it use a full size servo? I was looking to use the traxxas waterproof esc and servo, will they work? Also do axial beadlocks go on without any modification?

Also has anyone found a cheap way to eliminate clod stall without spending close to $200 in motors and electronics??

standard size servo axial beadlocks will work I put proline 8balls on mine that were listed for the scorpion and they fit perfect. 2.2 size tires look awesome on this btw. I have a hitec 645 servo in mine locked the rear steering out, losi claw tires and the proline rims.....

you have to really trim the body up to clear the tires but it works great....

I still get clod stall on mine but havent tried anything yet with it since ive only had it a few days

axial offset beadlocks will get you close to comp width. and stretching the WB will really make this thing perform. still no affordable motors discovered yet though..

Stretching the wheelbase makes the biggest improvement. Can't wait till someone finds some motors that do the job. I just snapped a front stock knuckle.:-(

For the clod stall problem, what if you put high(er) voltage batteries in it?

That pack is too big. You need 2/3A size batteries. The system can run up to 16.8 volts, so you can run two seven cell batteries. Try CheapBatteryPacks.com, you can get two custom batteries assembled for you. Maybe that will solve the stall?

thats what I hope to find out in a week or so. going to run lipos and see how it does...if that doesnt stop it Im going to try and change the rear pinion to a tooth higher and if that doesnt work I may try wiring the rear motor with larger gauge wire and the front leave stock to see if that helps.....

My son's clod stall got better when running 14.4 volts-2 six cell packs. The guy's in the club said to install 1t or 2t SMALLER in the rear to help the stall. Matt

Yes, go smaller in the rear and higher in the fron to help with Clod Stall.

This thing has tooooo much wheel speed even on 7.2v. 14.4v will make it less of a crawler plus the wheel speed and large 2.2 tires will start to eat the stock gears and drivetrane.

Even though it is 2.2 class, I feel smaller tires are a little better on this.

For clod stall, what if you ran 2.2 claws on the front, and 1.9 claws stretch over the 2.2 rims, on the rear? The rears would end up being 1/2" smaller diameter or so.
You could pick other tires that come in both sizes.

I have some neodym 45T airplane motors I am going to try this week.
Need to play with the timing on them without getting them too hot.
I'm going to run them on 8.4v to start.
