Question How to get more flex?

Was in my LHS yesterday and looked at the Losi MRC. Not to buy (too much coin, since I had to buy 2 crawlers at once, one for me and one for son), but just to compare to my 2 CC's. What I noticed is that the MRC has like twice as much flex as the CC. I plan to lengthen both CC's to around 12" - 12 1/2", and had planned on just making a longer chassis so I could use stock links and shocks for now (budget). After seeing the MRC, I came home and twisted the CC's, and it looks like the short shocks are what's keeping ti from flexing more; they either reach full extension or bottom out too quickly because of their length. I'm thinking that in order to get more flex, I will have to go with stock length chassis, and lengthen the links and get some longer shocks (not budget friendly). Am I right in this assumption, or are there other things I can do to increase the amount of flex in the CC? Does it REALLY matter? I assume more is better, to a point, but it just looked to me like the CC had WAY less flex than it should.
Thanks for any help.

Most of us eliminate flex on MRC's (too much flex if you ask me)
and yes longer shocks will give you more flex to an extent.

I put the Big Bore shocks from Duratrax that are the upgrade for the CC and gained alot more flex, even with stock links.

The big bore shocks sound like a good idea but I just compared my stock CC to my built up MRC (I limited the flex in the MRC) and my slightly built AX-10. The CC is comparable in amount of flex to the rest of my rigs. I would leave it alone and just drive it. To much flex will hurt more than help. I had done lots of testing on my Axial and settled on a little less flex than stock which is also how my MRC is set up at this point. To much flex will toss your rig on its lid when it gets bound up and it will drop into holes instead of sliding over the top.

That's good to know that it is comparable to the others; and thanks for the explanation as to why too much is bad. I guess I was worrying about nothing. Thanks to all who posted.
