Default Just bought my first mini.

Hi guys I'm new to the mini scene but not crawling. I've ran a super for a couple years and love it. So I was looking for something smaller to mess around the yard with. Then I came across the CC on the bay for $59.00 artr they call it "prebuilt" so I'll add my goodies and see how it goes. I already plan on clocking, some tires and wheels. I'm going up to 2.2, and maybe bent rear links. So I'll add some pics before during and after of the build I have planed. So tell me what ya think about my plans and if you have any advise throw it my way.

BIG CHANGE OF PLANS!!! LOL... It seems I'm coming into some money. So there will be some major up grades to the cc thats on the way and I'm going to buy a axial ax10 and probably another clod.. So look forward to some killer builds. I'll be looking to have a budget of $1,500. to $2,000. to spend so it'll be classic crawler builds with money spending over kill....LOL

Or you could start your own stimulus program and share the wealth; my LHS would appreciate you sending me some of that new-found money!
Enjoy; anxious to see what you come up with.

LOL... No thank you I got big plans for that money.I got the CC I ordered today and got it going and this little thing needs A LOT of help. So I'll make some new lower links and clock it a bit and get it turning better then I'll tackle the stall. and the shocks and the tires and wheels and the gears......lol so on and so on...

I made the new lower links to clock it where it should be.Threw on two V16R esc's (They both fit under the top tray with a little help from the dremel). I'm running two 7.2 six sell packs two hitec hs-645mgs . To keep from using that messed up spacer for the flipped servo in the back I'm using a Punk Rock four wheel steer unit"I highly recommend one". and a TQ3 setup.I also bought a ax10 kit and built it got some goodies for it as well 55t Novak, I'm trying out a AI esc,and two hs-645mgs with aluminum arms I star cut the foams added a little weight to the wheels, I'm going to strip the green off the aluminum tomorrow. As soon as I get to it I'll take some pics and post links to them.

Here's some pics of the CC. Has new links, dual V16R esc's, Tq3 set up, and a Punk Rock 4 wheel steer unit. hit the body with the water effect silver first then a metal flake blue looks ok but it was just a test...lol

Hey, saw your pros/cons videos on youtube. I figured it had to be someone on RCC. Are you running a y-harness on the dual ESC?

Yes i am the one that came with the kit. Because I didn't need it for the steering. I use the Punk Rock 4 wheels steer unit so no need for a Y harness. I also did a video on my AX10 and slash check them out if ya want.

No. The ecs's plug into the Y harness and plug into ch.2 And the Punk Rock unit plugs in to ch.1 and ch.3 on a TQ3 so you can switch between the different ways to steer using the 4 wheel steer unit. I sent you a priv. message I only live like 20-25 min from you...lol

Yeah, we're neighbors, haha. The ESC setup is the only thing that is worrying me, might not even run rear steer. I am thinking I may get a 4channel stick to run each ESC independantly, but i can't see myself enjoying driving with a stick radio.
