My CC almost finished

Well I had it for about a day before I tore it all apart and started with the mods. I have Traxxas T-mass 3.3 links, bent lowers, rear steer lockout, axial beadlocks with lizards, 8 ounces in each front, associated 100mm front and rear shocks, a JR Z590M steering servo but I need something stronger, and some home made chassis plates. I ordered some banebot motors and complete metal gears for the trannys.

I'm at 14 inches for the wheel base but just changing the links to some older T-Maxx ones drops to about 12. Its a pretty easy adjustment to match the terrain.

I'll try and get some video up soon. It's an animal!

I was out today to try and get some vids and I blew out the rear differential outputs, haha. Looks like I'll be waiting for my new gears before I can get some. I knew I should have waited in the first place but what fun would that be!

Well I think I have it set about as good as can get it. I cut back some of the articulation because it tipping over too much and moved the batteries to the axles. I was hoping the banebot motors would be a little more powerful after reading all the posts about them but they are definately better then the stockers although now I need a new esc cause the stock one shuts down after about 10 minutes of running. I have the wheel base set at 14 inches with 3.5 inches of GC, bent rear lower links and I reconnected the rear steering. At 14 inches front wheel only steering doesn't do much.

That does look nice. Maybe I won't ditch the CC so quickly. It is pretty sad in its stock form though.

Yes I agree, and the original price was outragous! but for $100 is pretty good. And besides, who leaves anything stock anyway!

So I'm done modding my cliff and have moved on to bigger and better things! I got a free clod with aluminum axle housing and gears so I'm building a super.

I finished my cliff off with with a droop suspension, 1/10 sidewinder esc, castle BEC and a 3s 2200mah lipo. Clod stall is minimal and it crawls like a monster! I think its a perfect backyard crawler thats easy to work on and easy to make your own parts for. With the metal gears and bearings it takes a pretty good beating and crawls very well considering what I started with. I'll throw up some new pics tonight!

I had some computer issues but all is good now. Here are some pics. I think I'm gonna have to get some 454's cause the banebots aren't doing it for me.
