Default Banebot 390s and EVX-2

Anyone tried it yet? I am thinking about ordering 4, 2 for my ARTR with the EVX and 2 for my sons RTR with the stock ESC.

Also will the stock ESC work ok with them?

What about the 395's, anyone tried them yet?

the stock esc will therm out. heat shutdown:-(. banebots just draw a bit too much. it only ran for like 5min. then act like the battery was dead, till she cooled off. but from my understanding any 540 sized esc will work
the can length on the 395's are the same as the 390's. they just have a bit more speed and torque. i called em up and asked the differences bout the two motors, said that the 390s' have more "start up torque". where the 395s' have more "moving torque" an actual big difference from the stock cliffy motors. when my buddy finally decides to get some. i'll get his redcat rs10 motors. since cliffy's are gear option limited- i need to vary my motor collection.

I was wondering, a lot of you guys comment on how well they do off of 9.6v, I wanna know if they can handle the 14.4 of the EVX-2, since they are rated at 12v. I have no problem on running them off of a 3s lipo and looping the one battery plug to complete the circuit. I tried to run the stock motors on 11.1v, but you might as well try to run them on a dead 7.2, it just does not cut it. I mean, My sons truck is a RTR and only been outside once, it will be 1 year old this Christmas, mine is also 1 year old and only be outside 3 times, because the lack of any trail running performance is such a joke. I have mine built up as a scaler, but it will not even pull a medium sized hill on 14.4v full sized stick packs. The Clod stall is so bad that it turns into a front wheel drive on the slightest incline. So will the Banebot motors run on 14.4v, that is what I am asking? I wanna be able to use these, because they are not worth a shit to sell.

Sure it looks good, but its only good for sitting on a shelf the way it performs, or should I say, doesn't perform! I have it on 1.9 tires now, but its still as useless as tits on a flea on the trails.

Cool, thanks guys. I will be ordering a pair up for now, then figure out something for an ESC and get a couple more form my sons rig. I have 13 RCs that I piss with all the time and I just hate seeing these 2 sitting on the shelf coz they have no usefulness.

i use the fxr and the banebots 395. good wheelspeed and torque. the reason these little crapbaskets have the stall is the size of the motors and 1 esc. i have a modded ax10 and she walks all over tuff sections for the scorpion.
after the holidays' i'll be gettin a twinstick and lipo's. ( i still use the duratrax 7.2v battery) i plan to take this duraturd to comp level im talking bout hh 540 motors and allat that point i'll have taken it as far as she can go. then she''ll donate her parts to my lightweight bully build.

I decided to put the cc build on hold for now and bought an axial rtc for my daughter instead. I think I will build this a little later to sell it, I just wanted something that would be easy to get parts for and it appears that the duratrax cc has been discontinued, it also started to become a serious money pit to get it to a decent crawler. I guess when I get bored of my comp creeper and the axial rtc I'll get back to building this, maybe build a scaler!! Good luck 73fordboy on the build, I'm sure you feel my pain on the money pit part, lucky for me I was able to find some cc axles loaded with all metal gears, steering knuckles and hexes for 60 so I was able to send all the metal gears, cvd's etc back to tower and get a 170 refund.
