Default Budget Electronics

Looking at getting into RC crawling to get my wheeling fix when my 1:1 truggy is broken (alot ).

What is the best budget electronics that will be the best bang for my buck. Dont really care about going very fast, I just want it to crawl.

Ive been looking at some of the AX-10s if that helps. (If anyone has any other ideas on the actual Crawler let me know too).

a wheely king is also a choice if you want to make a custom chassis and longer links. or a tlt, but they are discontinued.

for elecs and moped esc or a novak xrs. for a little more you could try the new cc sidewinder. any high torque servo and radio of your choice. a tq3 is a popular 3ch radio if you wanted rear steer or a winch.

Default ax10

the wk needs mods right out the door ,the ax10 is purpose built for crawling it has all the things a crawler needs such as.
crawler specific chassis,3 link easily converted to 4link if desired ,beadlocks ,rock rings, long throw shocks even if the springs are to stiff at least you can buy them now .my son and i had the first 2 in our area and it was a joke getting any parts or even feedback from others .esc i would go with a rooster or goat 45-65 t motor, split battery packs for front axle,fm radio

ax10 is the best comp crawler on the market and ill bet that near stock ax10 wins most if not all the comp champianships this year..

just my .02

Best "budget" electronics (IMO):

TX/RX: Grab a Traxxas TQ3 off ebay for around $35. You won't need the 3rd channel off the bat, but it may come in handy in the future.

ESC: Mopeds can be had for about $30. The next real step up from these is going to run $75+.

Motor: Integy Matrix 45t-55t can be bought for about $20.................but [and just my opinion] I would spend a hair more and get an Axiom 45t for about $27.

Battery: Radio Shack 3300-3600 NIMH 6Cell 7.2v for about $20.
