Default rooster crawler problem

Well i screwed up , i was straightening my wires out to make them look beter and wire tieing them and i accidently snipped the red wire going to the switch. The battery was not plugged in . Ive been playing with electrics quite a while and had a perfect track record , ive never fried or ruined anything, i'm always real careful. I put the wire back together and light comes on but it will not program so no power to the wheels and no steering also . Any ideas?? Should i just ship it back to Novak??

I also tried a different reciever and checked all my other wires.

Thanks
Herb

Is it your on/off switch or your receiver harness.

Where did you cut it at. Like in the middle or more towards the end.

Can you just re-solder the switch

i cut it about a 1" or so from where it is soldered on to the esc and i did resolder it and no workie . when i turn it on the red light comes on , it will not program and no motor power and no steering. Its completly dead other than the red light on the esc.

Herb, check your receiver harness and make sure that on the esc the white wire is to the outside of the esc.

i did that to , it has the configuration right on the side of the speed control. Ive been looking this thing over for a good 30 minutes and i see nothing wrong .My guess is its done. What really gets me is the battery was unplugged and i only snipped one wire , it wasn't like i snipped a bunch at once .

Herb it don't make no sense, just cutting the wire for your on/off switch. There is no signal wire.

I know thats why i posted this , it doesn't make sense , i'm tempted to cut the black wire to and wire it to the red one and eliminate the switch to see if that fixes it , but if i'm gonna send it back i probably dont want to be hacking it up .

ok now i feel stupid , i took the esc wire that goes to the reciever completly off to inspect it good, Novak has them things twisted up pretty good , come to find out the black wire had broke off near the plug. I could't see that with the way it was twisted from the factory. i must have broke it when i was tucking the wires trying to make them neat. I had a spare harness ,plugged it in and bingo, took a program and works fine . Thanks for the suggestions. I,m glad it was something simple i overlooked.

Herb, I had a feeling that it was something to do with the receiver harness. Mine did the same thing when I had it backwards on the esc.
