| fast brushless combo questions
i was just looking for a little input on a good/fair priced brushless combo for a sandrail, i was looking @ holmes hobbies but i dont really know much about brushless, i did a little searching but i dont really know where to begin with this being a crawler sight and all, any help would be awesome. thanks |

For a sand rail... a Sidewinder and 4600Kv motor(or 5700Kv) should be fine... they can be had for about $140.

No you do not have to run lipo's on the sidewinder but if it were me I would start with the 4600 and if you want more speed just add more battery I have A 4wd buggy that does about 40mph with a two cell (7.4 volts) lipo and a 4600 and its hard to keep the front end down of the line and I believe the 4600 on 3s lipo is faster than the 5700 on 2s lipo 4600 rpm per volt=kv 4600kv x 11.1 volt = 51,060 rpm's 5700 rpm per volt=kv 5700kv x 7.4 volt = 42,180 rpm's |

The 4600 will also have more off the line torque.
