Kinda hard to help you when you won't tell us what the settings are.

Change the start power to high.

I am surprised to see such low brake & reverse and no drag brake in crawler. I have those all set to 100% on my Mamba 25.

How much voltage are you running?
That is a huge question I forgot to ask.

Edit:
What are the settings on the CC BEC?
What brand of servos? Digital or Analog?

Well, something does not sound right. The 9.6volts should be plenty from the 8 cell and the BEC set at 6 volts with 10amps should push any servo(s). What is the weight of the rig and what size tire?

I ran my Mamba 25 in a 2.2 tuber, with a blue label Holmes revolver (brushless), no BEC and 7.4 2S lipo and never had any issues.

Have you disconnected the Red Wire on the Servo harness of the mamba 25 ESC?

If you don't do this the BEC built into the mamba 25 is still active and can interfere with your external BEC.

If that is the case, that would explain your problem. The mamba 25 BEC is very low. That JR servo would use all of the BEC and stall the motor when turning (IMO, could be wrong). If your CC BEC is not working, that is your problem.

hey i was just thinking about this...
check your power wires going into the bec.... if you pinched them or there is a bad solder joint on them then that is why it wouldnt have power when we took out the red wire on the esc.

true....
what about the servo plug. is everything kosher on that end? try getting it to steer without the esc plugged in at all. once you have that solved you can take the red wire off of the esc plug and it should work. also just make sure that the servo plugs are in the correct way.
