Default Holmes Hobbies Castle Creations BEC Holy crap!

This thing rocks!! I have no idea why I didn't run one and why I waited so long. I should have known better also. My Nomadio tells me what my RX battery runs volt wise and why I ignored 4.8-5 volts I have no idea.

I have been wanting to run 11.1 volts but have had issues with my quark cutting out. Well those issues are no more!! Now I have a strong 6.2 volts to my 5955 and it rocks now.

JRH thanks again for getting my stuff square again. You truly are the electronics guru!

I picked one up last fall, and just grabbed two more during the castle sale. Running one in both of my 2.2 rigs and the third one in my super.

A buddy of mine had a CC BEC die today.

It was bought and installed three days ago, everything wired correctly, red wire removed from ESC servo lead, etc.

Just died.

Weird.

I'm sure Castle will take care of him.

I had assumed it was the RX that went dead. He tested everything tonight, was the BEC.

EH...I would rather try it that way since the go "poof" at 6V anyways. Seems they like the 7.4V in the set-up that Rckcrwlr has, and I have a similar one. The stock 5.1V isnt enough, and I have already burnt up one, and Rckcrwlr 2 of the servos at 6V.

Biggest thing is setting the deadband on them.

A friend of mine had the same thing happen to him a couple of weeks ago. They are sending him a new one.
