Default servo help

i am a noob to the rc world and i had a question about my servo. I have a wheely king and i mounted the servo on the axle and im using a HiTec hs-635HB servo. My question is this, when i hook it up to the steering linkage, the servo only wants to turn maybe 45 degrees left/right. I am using the radio that came with the WK. and i want to know how i can get it to turn more left/right? Please help

Either buy a radio with EPA's (end point adjustment) to be able to fully use the travel on that servos. The stock radio limits the travel amount to be able to adjust the trim. Or buy a longer servo horn to mount your link (from your servo to the knuckle) on the furthest point away from the servo final gear. If I recall the stock wheely king has a servos "saver" loose that and get a metal or solid one... But when you do all this make sure that your steering doesn't bottom out, it puts lots of stress on your servo. Hope this helps.

Also there is a "SEARCH" button at the top right(ish) of the screen, USE IT their is any bit of info you'll ever need. Take the time and search...

Try a longer servo horn and sifferent placements of the linkage on the horn until you get the travel you like... Once you find a place that'll give you the swing you need, put a new hole in the orn if ya need and secure it there... Had to do that with the rear of my Clod 'cos I run digi servo's on a non-digi radio...;)
