Default Glo-plug in my 35t?

Was out this afternoon playing with my Axial, and after about half an hour, I was walking from one set of rocks to another and drove the truck past me as I walked.

Nothing weird with that, other than the smell of burnt plastic and small trail of smoke as it went, LoL

I'm still a newb to both RC and crawling, but I was pretty sure that my Integy 35t wasn't powered by a Glo-Plug!

I haven't torn it apart yet, but I'm betting that at the least, I'm going to need to replace the brushes. I guess there's a good chance the comm's just completely burnt up, but I'll probably try and turn it anyway.

WOW!!! That is cool!!! What electronics are you running? It looks like you've also roached the end of that motor...

Just running the 35t with a Rooster Crawler and a 6 cell stick pack.

I have a feeling it's a cooling issue, the place I was at had a lot of walking between the sets of rocks, and I was just running it at WOT between sets instead of carrying it. Maybe it just wasn't getting enough air in there at the low speed, it was during one of the in-betweens that decided to have a smoke.

I'm about to take it out and see what all is toasted, I bet I'll be putting the 55t back in instead of the 35t, LoL

Take it apart, and clean out the spaces between the copper plates on the comm. You got some junk in there. A 6 cell pack shouldn't be hurting that motor at all. I have run them on 16 volts before with no ill effects.

The timing could be reversed too, check it out and make sure it is at zero or at least advanced some for your forward direction.
