Default elite 4000 sub-c?

planning to run rooster crawler with 2 55t's, 2 hitec 5645 servos. I already have the servos and motors, getting rooster crawler this week. I want some good batteries just to play around with that would give longer run times. I looked at elite 4000 7 cell packs from cheapbatterypacks.com. Would these be ok with rooster and give good run times or should just go with 6 cell packs? thanks

Elite makes good cells.

The higher the cell count the shorter the run time.

I like 6 cells though others still prefer the 7 cells for the added punch.

I'd consider 1500 2/3a packs, although they have a shorter run time. They are far easier to carry in you pockets for quick change outs. They are lighter which in turn will allow your truck to perform better. That is unless your going with the knuckle packs, in which case 4000's all the way,

i was just going to get either a split 6 cell pack, 3 for each knuckle, or 1 6 cell brick pack to play with at house until get used to driving, then maybe get a couple 2/3a 1500 packs. It is going in a hustler, so i wanted plenty of power and runtime. thanks

I've always had issues with wheel/cells clearance with axial 40's beadlocks on my Clod. But, I definitly prefer the swapable packs. Might be a small disavantage as far as handling, but you can make up for that as now you can practice a lot longer out on the trails if you have swapable packs.
