Default HH 7T Puller ?

Newb question......

Was I supposed to get screws with the Puller motor? Looks like it says so on HHs website. If so what size do I need to go get?

What pinion is everyone running with these? Doesn't look like the stock one will work with the flat spot where it is on the shaft.

Any 3mm screws will work, if the motor takes 4-40 it would come with the motor. Take a file and put the flat spot wherever you want on the shaft, takes 5 seconds, but poke the shaft through a bag first to keep the shavings out of the motor.

Meaning Some motors will have a 4-40 thread for mounting bolts. Those motors will be supplied with the correct fasteners.

If you didn't receive any bolts, you've got a 3mm thread to mount your new big block up with

Thanks.

Are the supplied Axial motor screws not 3mm?

Incorrect. I got 2 both tapped for 4-40 and no screw's. 1 the slip said nothing about screws the other said 4-40 screws. Either wayits 4-40 or 3mm. Pretty easy to tell.

I really wasnt worried about JRH forgetting some screws though. In this hoby if you dont have some extra hardware laying aorund you got something wrong.

Cool. I think I've got the 4-40s. Looks smaller than 3 mm.

mine did not come with screws either and they are 4-40, just get some 3/8 long 4-40 cap head screws and use flat washers and your good to go

That's interesting, but good point about having hardware lying around....I've got enough for 4 trucks

x2. I'm not worried about it at all. Just wanted to know what I needed to pick up. Thanks for the help.

BTW, I'm new to all this , but my extra parts pile is growing faster than I can keep up with too.

Yeah, I ran out of 4-40 screws mid way through the last batch too. The 7t versions seem to have more 4-40 threaded faces than the other winds right now too. Just make sure to use some medium locktight on them.

Picked up a couple packs of different lengths today at the LHS. Only a few bucks, no big deal. Got the motor in but no time to test it out. Fawking night classes.

Got a chance to run it inside for a bit since it is raining out.

This is the first time I have driven it with my new DXR3 and the 7T Puller. Talk about putting a smile on a guys face.

I can't wait to get it outside.
