Default Mamba Max and BEC

I thought I had read on here somewhere that when using the BEC I needed to disconnect one of the leads from the esc to the receiver. Is this true? And if so which one do I disconnect. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick response. Also I just got all of the electronics for my AX-10 today and am a little anxious to get the MM all set up with the Castle Link. Can I go ahead and hook it up and set all the settings I want now or is it better to wait untill it is all in the truck to do it?

I am also having trouble hooking up the motor. Is it better to just solder directly or should I solder wire and connectors that mach the MM to the motor? I do like the idea of being able to use the MM in another vehicle at a later time. Thanks again.

I always just use connectors that match, and pigtail the motor with 3" of Dean wire.

You can program it whenever you'd like.
For the motor leads, get some 4mm bullet connectors, that way you can pull the MM out for servicing your truck, or to throw it in another truck.
