Default 1 or 2 Batteries

For you guys running clods do you run a single main battery or 2?

Not just the clods, but most of us all only run 1 battery.

there are no crawlers that i have run 12 cells on and liked. the weight is a major downfall. the only way i would want to run that many volts is if i ran a 3 or 4 cell lipo.

you could have killer runtime with a high wind motor and lots of torque too with higher voltage pack. the motor would need to spin at around 500-700 rpm per volt to use that much voltage though, and lathe motors(55t) usually spin at 1000 rpm per volt.

a better solution is to use 6 cells and just make your rig light everwhere you can. its a fine line between light and weak in some cases.
