Default What size battery for ax10- 850~4200???

I am back working on my RTR making it more comp worthy and I have a battery capacity question. I am running a 55t lathe motor and I know it is a 12v motor. I am looking at replacing the factory ESC, but I am not sure which way to go with the batteries. I was wondering what everyone else is using on their rigs? Will a 3S 1100 ma lipo be better than say an 8cell nimh in a saddle configuration? How big of a lipo can fit on axial's combination servo battery tray anyway? Thanks

Yes it will be. Lighter, and more voltage is always a good thing. I use a MaxAmps 2S 1100, and a 2S or 3S 1320 Thunder Power on my Axial optional battery/servo mount tray thing.

You have about 75 to 80mm of pack room to work with on the front axle. 1300 15C cells seem to work well with a 55t as long as you don't bind it up a lot. 3 cell is my preference all day long.
