Default Who is running a 4 Channel Pistol Grip Control?

I am looking for very specific functionality from a 4 channel pistol grip radio. I would like to find a transmitter that can give me the standard channels 1-2 for throttle and steering but I need 3 AND 4 to be three position servos (left-center-right) operated from switches. Basically, I want a radio that has channels 3&4 that can function like the modded 3rd channel of a TQ3. Is there a radio out there that will meet this requirement? I have read through radio specs on towers website but am not finding the definative answer I need before spending $300+

If you are running such a radio, post any pix you can of the switches/buttons for channels 3-4!

Thanks

Nomadio, They look Funny and I know it has a 4th channel function not sure of the operation but I use the 3rd channel and it is programable from 1-7 position toggle style to variable trim style movement. Also ALL buttons can be programed for any channel so you can reach options however you like.
I run both the Sensor (prefered despites its looks) and the React (prefered for 1/12 racing). Not to mention the telemetry is awesome

OK, good for starters. I am going to update this thread with links and pix of all the potential candidates. I will either download the manuals or call the manufactures to find out what I (we) need to know.

Keep the suggestions coming.

I have a Nomadio React... It can do almost anything you can dream of.
(people have had some type of issue with running 2 ESCs with this radio)

The 3rd and 4th channels have the same amount of options as 1st and 2nd...

So 3+ postion steering on both channels can be done, and much more.

The Nomadio React appears to be a 3-channel reciecer, but you have a 4th channel if you use a y-harness on the Batt terminal.
I reccomend running a extra heavy duty y-harness if you are using a big steering servo, and 2 others for rear-steer. Or you can directly connect the servos to get power from the battery (most likely BEC).

The Spectrum ground recievers are currently only 3 channels.

I have the Multiplex 403. 7 channels in truck mode.

Channels 3-6 can be linear, 3 pos, or flashing. Ch.7 is a 2 position only.

I use ch.3 for dig and ch.4 for suck down winch on the front.

The Multiplex looksl ike the crystal version of a Nomadio React...I had the Nomadio Sensor, and there isn't anything you can't program that radio to do. It was a very nice radio while I had it, but I let it go due to the lack of focus on the Hobby market by the maker. They are a contractor for our military (here in the USA) and they have decided that is where the focus needs to be...Good and bad for us in the hobby arena. It is a true 4 channel radio and every single button/function can be programmed via USB input on your computer (React is the same, and can be used as a gaming controller too). If you want true function and control, that is the one...2.4ghz, telemetry, 100 frames per second speed, and very compact. Only radio lighter is the Spektrum DX3R (which is what I just bought)...Futaba 4PK will be a 4 channel also when it finally hits the ground next month, but it will ding your wallet!! Check www.amainhobbies.com They carry Kopropo, Nomadio (no sensor though), and Futaba. Good luck

In regards to the KO Propo EX-1 UR, I own a KO Propo EX-1 Mars. Mine is three channel and looks exactly the same as the UR. My 3rd channel is two position only and the button must be held down to activate the servo and keep it activated (to keep the dig engaged for instance). The UR doesn't have any cosmetics changes to the controller so they must have changed the programming to get the 4th channel. My guess is that the dial under the steering wheel on the grip is the 3rd channel to make it work to control rear steer and the push button on the grip is the fourth channel. I bring this up because although KO Propo makes great products, I think they are primarily geared to racing (nitro and electric) where two channels are all that are really needed and the third channel is used to activate lap timers, ABS braking, or other programming features. I don't think it's a viable option as a four channel pistol grip controller. Again just my opinion, but I have owned a lot of KO Propo products over the years.

i run a ko propo ex-11 not available anywhere any more except used on ebay.
standard pistol grip with 2 channels that you can change from 2,3,or 4 position switches. one by your thumb, the other by your finger on the wheel. 3 model memory, fm crystals. fully proportional and all channels have adjustable endpoints.

I run the novak xxtra receiver with it.

i hear there is a new synthesized one coming out soon.

Awesome info guys...I was looking forward to getting actual owner/user input for these 4 channel radios and I am getting what I was looking for.

THANKS!

I will continue to update this thread as I gather more info. The real test of course is finding one of each to put my mitts on in person. Mama always said I had a problem looking at stuff by using my hands and this will not be an exception. Need to know how a radio feels before dropping coin on it!
